This enchanting, peaceful mountainside retreat is only 5 minutes from everything that Bisbee has to offer. A secluded "Eco" property that offers an experience of nature within a luxury architectural design with breathtaking views. Masterfully crafted by an apprentice of Frank Lloyd Wright, you will enjoy conscious living w/Soft Rainwater*, a 'grey' waste-water system, an electric toilet, all powered by solar energy. The entire Casita is furnished with a mid-century ambiance including vintage audio gear (Yamaha, Bose, Sony, Audio-Technica) and a curated vinyl record and CD music collection.
No Bisbee Bed Tax. You will save 8% over in-city lodging by booking with us. Yet, we are only a 5-minute drive to Downtown Bisbee. We hope you will use this savings to support Bisbee's many restaurants, gift shops and attractions.
Cool Summer Mile-High Location. We average 20 degrees less than Phoenix and 10 degrees less than Tucson.
Galeria Viviente (Living Gallery) is a 950-sq ft 2-level Eco-Friendly Casita designed to highlight the 360 degree views from all of the masterfully placed windows. Located on Historic Highway 80 just outside of Old Bisbee, the property is on a hillside of solid granite in the beautiful Mule Mountains on 5.5 private acres surrounded by Federal land. There are no neighbors. Quiet, clear night skies. Jaw-dropping views in all directions. At 5800' elevation we are blessed with a relatively mild year-round climate.
The house has 12" thick insulated walls to keep you comfortable throughout the year. Every drop of water originates from our rain catchment system*. The drinking water then passes through a double filtration system before use. Mindfulness of this precious resource is another aspect of being on an Eco property. Your gratitude of Nature will increase and integrate into your consciousness. *In dry years we may augment with municipal water.
We have excellent phone and internet reception.
Eco-House features: Delicious, soft rainwater, grey waste-water system (no septic or sewer), alternative highly efficient electric toilet. Powered by off-sight solar and wind energy.
Guests have access to the entire Casita, the front patio, the parking areas and driveway. The property is wild and natural. We ask that you only explore on the areas we have designated. There are many hiking trails in and around Bisbee to explore. The upper house and garage area are private and should be respected.
Accessibility notice: Due to stairs, step-up entryways, and the absence of mobility aids, this property may not be suitable for guests with mobility challenges.
Although the property is in the country, it is only a short 5-8 minute drive to historic Old Bisbee. To the west, about 20-minutes away, is the City of Sierra Vista at the foot of the magnificent Huachaca Mountains. To the east, the historic town of Tombstone is 30-minutes away. The property has dedicated parking right up to the front of the Casita.
This micro-climate is home to white-tailed deer, the rare coatimundi, javelina, wild turkey, a bounty of birds as well as the elusive jaguar. Keep your eyes open! Wake up to the amazing songs of the birds. No need for an alarm clock here!
International Dark Sky Community
The City of Bisbee has been certified as an International Dark Sky Community by Dark Sky International. Bisbee, Arizona becomes an International Dark Sky Community | DarkSky International
Your Hosts are 60's Pop Icon Donna Loren and her husband, Jered Cargman. We live on property and Jered will initially greet you upon arrival to provide a brief introduction of the unique features of the home and surroundings.
*SRT Technology (Sympathetic Resonance Technology) has been incorporated into the Eco-casita for the benefit of our guests at no additional charge. Additional Information Below.

About the Science of Resonance
Physical science has shown us that every material object and every living thing has a natural resonance frequency or frequencies which are determined by that object’s physical structure. Science also shows that when something is exposed to external frequencies that match its unique resonance frequency, then that object literally becomes stronger, more stable and its natural energies more coherent. This natural resonant effect operates in human beings too, of course: we sense it, we know it, and we certainly experience its energies when we feel relaxed and focused, when we are surrounded by a close friend or loved ones, and when we literally find ourselves in nature.
Grounded in these scientific discoveries and reflecting human experience, at the very heart of all Q-Link® products is the proprietary crystalline core which we call Sympathetic Resonance Technology™ (SRT™). It is this SRT-core that reinforces the body’s resonance, returning it to a clearer and more balanced natural state. From the Latin root word resonare, “to resonate” literally means "return to sound"; so when two objects interact sympathetically, just like two similarly tuned tuning forks, or two friends coming together, their energies interact and amplify each other.
Q-Link products are programmed with an array of natural frequencies that resonate with the body's natural energy frequencies. The resulting resonant effect is similar to the healthy, energizing experiences we have in nature, in positive interactions with others, and while participating in self-balancing, restorative activities. And because it takes less effort and energy to maintain an object already functioning at more ideal “resonance frequencies”, the more often you wear or use Q-Link, the better it can work for you.
SRT™ has demonstrated its effectiveness in a wide range of experiments and research, including trials at U.C. Irvine, University of Vienna, and Imperial College London, all of which demonstrated significant effects on living systems. Learn more about select Q-Link science and peer reviewed, published studies. Even more significant and interesting perhaps are reports from thousands of satisfied Q-Link users
over 3 decades.
Learn more about the importance of the resonance effect and its role in optimal well-being, performance and quality of life.

Please Note: SRT has been incorporated into the Casita as an enhancement to your experience. While there are no known negative or side-affects to SRT Technology, if for any reason you would like the devices deactivated, I am happy to do so. Bisbee Modern "Eco-Casita" Luxe Mountain Retreat

The Casita is extraordinary example to be aspired to. The rainwater collection, reverse osmosis filtration, the incinerator toilet, the air-conditioning units and even the construction and architecture of the structure itself is a beautiful example. Additionally, being atop a Granite mountain side is quite relaxing.. Staying at the Eco Casita was a pleasure!

Exceptional

It's a very special building; every window offers a different view, using nature as the window frame.+ Everything is satisfactory!

Everything is satisfactory!

It was good being close to Bisbee but not in town, and this house is a one-of-a-kind place. We enjoyed our stay and appreciated the helpfulness of the host.

This house is a one-of-a-kind place

This is a dream spot to stay and still visit Bisbee, Warren, Sierra Vista, and Tombstone. It is located just outside Bisbee, so you can escape the fun and have a serene stay in an architectural marvel built into the mountainside. The explosion of stars in the night sky could be reason enough to stay with Jered.

The explosion of stars in the night sky could be reason enough to stay

The Mrs. and I searched independently, for a location to stay in Bisbee. We have similar tastes - so what drove us to this selection were things like the location (away from town, secluded), unique construction, the amenities, and of the course the positive reviews that Jered deserves. Check in was flexible, Jered met us upon arrival to give us a short tour of the Casita and provide some recommendations of places to eat. The location is amazing, construction of the Casita is unique - what stood out to us was the choice of window placement, being able to see into other parts of the Casita from where you are located and the ability to see the entire rising landscape line from the living room area. Everything is exactly as described, Jered has done an excellent job in the description, arrival tour and reference materials for your stay. Internet speed is strong, allowing streaming if you want to catch an episode. There would be no hesitation in booking again!
