The Water's Edge-A Modern Waterfront Cottage Rental

Incredible experience from start to finish. All the little details make a big difference. Very well thought out and well laid out. Everything you could need is there and exactly where you would expect to find it. They make a clear effort to ensure their guests feel welcomed. Super happy with our time at the cottage and would not hesitate to return.

Incredible Experience

Great place, even better host! Allison was responsive, left beautiful little touches to welcome us in, and made sure we were well taken care of! The space is beautiful, spacious, and there are so many things to do just footsteps away! Thank you Allison for the beautiful stay

Beautiful Stay

We enjoyed our family vacation at Geceive Opinicon. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a welcome sign, snacks, a bottle of wine and fresh-cut flowers. The cottage is spotless, well stocked with all the kitchen, bath and bedroom amenities you need. You don't need to bring anything, but your time for some relaxation and fun! Our family, along with our mini goldendoodle, loved the water toys, and we enjoyed sitting on the brand-new deck watching all the wildlife during our morning coffee. We ended our evenings in the hot tub with a glass of wine, admiring the picturesque scenery. Lots to see and do in Westport, and we enjoyed ice cream at The Opinicon. Thank you, Alison & David, for yet again a memorable vacation. We will see you soon.

Family Vacation at Geceive Opinicon

We absolutely love Gecieve Opinicon! The house is beautiful and always well stocked with everything we could ever need. Outside is even better. The lake is beautiful. The dock is so peaceful and quiet. The hot tub and fire pit are incredible. We also love using the sun hut to relax in the afternoons. We cannot wait to return next year!

A Perfect Cozy Getaway

Gecieve Opinicon is in a beautiful spot and the cottage is really a comfortable place to stay. All that you can need is provided by Alison, and then some. My family and I splurged for this getaway and it didn’t disappoint. The living space is really uncluttered and comfortable to be in. The place was spotless when we arrived. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals. The bathroom too was well stocked for what you will need. The outdoor space, including the hot tub was the icing on the cake. It is so well laid out, and the hot tub indeed was ours to use during the stay. We appreciated that Alison really thought of everything for our arrival - from extra snacks, having the hot tub warming for our arrival, as well as setting up the fire place ready to light if we wanted to use it. A great retreat!
