The Neighborhood:
Swinging Bridge Reservoir is the largest largest lake in the Sullivan Catskills, and one of the few that allows motor boats. You'll feel removed from the city, but still within 20 minutes of groceries and things to do. The neighborhood is a mix of seasonal homes and year round residents. A public boat launch is nearby, and just around the corner are two full services marinas--Starlight and Swinging Bridge Marinas.
Getting Around:
We recommend having car for your stay. Taxis are available, but ride sharing services are more sparse. Rental car services are available in Monticello. Shortline Coach Bus Service provides service between New York City and Monticello as well. Otisville and Port Jervis Metro North Stations are each approximately 30 minutes drive from the house. The trip from NY Penn Station to Otisville is about 2 hours. Train/bus access is great if you have members of your group who need to arrive/depart at different times.
Things To Know:
You will be required to sign a rental agreement after the booking is confirmed. Full terms of the agreement are available on request. Additionally, you will be required to upload an approved government identification card or passport when you complete the rental agreement. Modern Chalet with Hot Tub and Lake Access

We had a wonderful stay at this house and really enjoyed our few days here! The hot tub was a favorite, and we loved spending evenings around the fire pit making s’mores. Mornings were just as relaxing, sitting out on the deck with our coffee and enjoying the peaceful surroundings.
The bedrooms and bathrooms were comfortable and efficient for everything we needed, and the huge kitchen was a major plus. We cooked plenty of meals during our stay and had more than enough space to spread out and enjoy them together.
Overall, it was a great place for a relaxing getaway, and we would definitely stay here again!
