Herndon Hideout LLC

This was a fantastic place to stay. Very clean and everything needed for a group of riders. The maps on the wall definitely help get an idea where some local hmt and outlaw trails are as well as sites to visit. The guest book was very informative of food, repairs, and fuel. Highly recommend this place if 5 separate bedrooms is what you need. Plenty of bathrooms and hot water for all.

Amazing place to stay

This was our third stay here. Their home is definately geared towards the riders. I dont believe Ive ever seen anything stocked so well for riding the outlaw or Hatfield Trails. They have a tablet with maps if you forget yours. There are maps on the walls, maps for planning, a helmet and goggles if you forget yours. The home has 5 bedrooms, 3 baths plus a living room and den. They have a coffee bar plus an enclosed back porch to store your items. Plenty of parking for 5 trucks and trailers. We normally tuck the side by sides in behind the trailers at night. When we arrive, we do not get back in the vehicles unless it is a downpour rain day. You can literally ride to town, hatfield trails or outlaw trails. They have 2 washers and 2 dryers so we arent taking home tons of dirty laundry. We normally just use the house as a base camp and sleep there. We come in from a long day of riding, grab a hot shower, sometimes build a fire, go to bed and do it again the next day. We love staying here. They have exterior cameras so they are monitoring our machines even when we are sleeping. We love that Mullens is close by for dinner so we arent coming in after a long day of riding trying to cook. Its also easy when you forget something....they have a Dollar General and a Walgreens. We have stayed at other places and it literally felt like you were on a deserted island. This home is not like that. You are close enough to everything. It is also in the heart of so much riding. You can pick a different direction every day. Thanks so much for having a great place to stay and ride!

Wonderful Place for a group to stay and Ride

We usually meet some of our northern friends in the upper system for thanksgiving weekend and decided to do the lower system this thanksgiving and so glad we did. One of the best places we’ve ever stayed, whether northern or southern trails. Plenty of room for privacy and like the accommodations for couples with the ability to accommodate children also. We will definitely be revisiting Herndon Hideout.

Great place to stay

I've stayed at many locations around the HMT system and this is in the top 3. Great location between pinnacle and indian ridge. Short run to Ziggy's and outlaw bar n grill. We'll be returning in the future.

Herdon Hideout

This place was amazing. Very spacious. Had all the accommodations needed for a weekend away. The hosts were awesome and very helpful with providing information for the area as well as suggestions for things to do while we were riding the Hatfield McCoy Trails. Parking was nice as well plenty of room for large trailers. Definitely will be looking to stay here again for our next WV trip
