This large corner queen room is light-filled and inviting. Watch the sunrise over Snyder Mountain to the east and the birds in the old fir trees to the north. If you peek down the block, you might see the comings and goings in the beer garden behind the Blue Spruce, a favorite local gathering place.

#1 Lily Basin Trail Shared Bath- Adults Only

This is my go-to stay for my annual volunteer trip to Mt Rainier NP. The location's perfect--I can leave my car alone for a while. The room is clean, comfortable, and light.

Great location and very comfortable room

We had a wonderful time at the Historic Hotel Packwood. Alyssa was a great host, and we loved the central location with easy walking to coffee, restaurants, breweries, and the Saturday farmers market. Perfect location for an easy drive into Rainier and a charming and well-kept hotel.

Great stay in charming Packwood!

Me and my twin sister have stayed in Room #1 for three days. We were positively suprised by the wonderfully decorated hotel. We immediately felt welcomed in the nice ambiance. In Dutch we call this “gezellig” (= cosy and pleasant). The service was very good. We enjoyed our stay very much.

The location was perfect for hiking in the beautiful area and there were lots of good dining options in the street. Visitor Center is next door.

We have recommended this hotel to friends who will visit Mount Rainier National Park later this year. Keep up the good work!

Wonderful stay in beautiful hiking area

My daughter and I stayed here during our ski weekend at White Pass. The scheduling was easy. Alyssa responded very quickly to my inquiries. The hotel staff communicated instructions for self check in ahead of our stay and made it very easy. The common areas are well kept, with books, throw blankets, plenty of seating, and are very welcoming. Bathrooms and rooms are stocked with necessities and the temperature during the cold season was perfect. We also loved that we could walk right across the street for breakfast at our favorite Packwood bakery! We’ll be back :)

Clean, quiet, great location

We loved our stay here. It was a perfect balance of cozy and historic (comfy couches with blankets, quaint reading room, etc), with all the modern amenities you could want - there was a fridge to store goods in and a serve your self coffee and tea station. The room was immaculate and the bed was very comfortable. We look forward to staying here again!
