Rooms 5 & 7 have been combined to create this popular spacious room. The owner’s family calls this the dark & sexy room- and for good reason. Silhouette hued walls, an alluring cross between charcoal and chocolate that breathes luxury into any room, dominate your senses. Velvet teal chairs, rich wood grains, and floor length room-darkening curtains create a romantic old-world feel that transports you back in time. Open one of the three windows that look over the hotel grounds and take in a deep breath of invigorating mountain air- you have arrived.

#7 Tatoosh Ridge Trail Private Bath -Adults Only

We spent MLK weekend at the Historic Hotel Packwood and what a treat it was. Everything was delightful and we felt well taken care of from the time we booked to the time we checked out. Loved the style of the casual "self-serve" check-in and out. I received a text in the morning of our trip with the code to the front door and an email with more details. For those who don't like to deal with the standard hotel lobby check-in/our process, this place is for you! It's a darling hotel that made me feel at home instantly. We have two children so it was wonderful to not only get away from the chaos of day-to-day life but to do so in such a beautiful, historic, calm, and charming hotel. Loved walking everywhere from the hotel and being able to pop back in throughout the day. I've been telling my friends and family about it left and right. To no fault of the hotel ;) the only bummer was my husband and I didn't get a chance to spend time in the main living room by the fire that Alyssa and other staff were tending throughout our stay, as we were out in the snowy woods or in town each evening and by the time we got back to the hotel, it was time for bed. We did have a chance to sit and sip our coffee in the library nook, however, which was amazing. I particularly enjoyed one evening making tea and cocoa in the kitchen (self-serve and set up 24/7) and taking it back up to our room. We will definitely stay again someday. Thank you, Alyssa and the small staff at Hotel Packwood.

Tranquil Anniversary Weekend Getaway

We enjoyed our one night stay very much and wished to have more time to spend in this lovely historic hotel!
The room we stayed in was beautifully styled and had a lovely charm that we enjoyed very much.
The porch wrapped around the house makes for a lovely afternoon or evening after a hike in the mountains.
Can highly recommend this hotel and hope to stay there again some time.
Thank you for having us!

Lovely hotel with flair and style

We lucked out by stumbling upon the Packwood Hotel after being sorely disappointed with a private home rental we had booked online. Alyssa had the Tatoosh room with private bath available when we came knocking. It was very clean, comfortable, and cool in the heat wave. Attention to detail and quality were evident with the historic decor, tile bathrooms, and classic wallpaper. Check-in was a breeze. The other guests were friendly and polite. We will have fond memories of our first visit to the Packwood Hotel.

Serendipity

What a quintessentially historic home with modern touches and charm! It felt whimsical and relaxing. I especially appreciated having a full-size refridgerator available in the common dining room area to store items, the emergency toiletries basket, and ear plugs for mitigating for noise at night with guests walking on the older creeky floors en route to the shared restrooms down the hall. I stayed in the Tatoosh Suite with my own private bathroom and it felt super nice. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Charming and historic home

We were in an accident at the summit of White Pass. We were towed to Packwood, and had to stay overnight in order to wait for the Napa Parts Store to open in the morning to get our car on the road again. No one was at the hotel, but there was a number to call. Allyssa came right over and fixed us up with a room, and it was nice to be in a relaxed atmosphere after a difficult day. Thank you so much for helping us. We would love to stay again when the circumstances are less harrowing.
