Popular for its location at the end of the hall, this dreamy room gets the best evening light. The wallpaper in this room, a reworking of one of Morris' earliest, and best-loved, designs incorporates touches of metallics that radiate a subtle shimmer with the natural light. Look towards the west to view the surrounding trees and back lawn or peer south and view the library grounds and neighboring brewery.

#8 Silver Falls Trail Private Bath -Adults Only

Our first stay at the lovingly restored, Historic Packwood Hotel, nestled in the quaint town of Packwood, WA.. About a one hour drive to majestic Mt. Rainier and maybe 100 feet stroll to the Blue Goose Saloon, where they serve what we thought, was the best food and fun in town!
Local Elk frequent the town and the Autumn colors in the whole area are stunning!
Alyssa, the hotel’s owner, along with Courtney, and the rest of the staff are warm and welcoming. Hotel itself is warm and inviting, and the rooms are comfortable and lovely. Great job, Alyssa! Thank you, all!

Looking Forward to Our Return Visit

The Historic Hotel Packwood is just an incredible gem on all fronts. Charming and delightful in every way, including the exquisite attention to historic relevance while offering the luxury of a top-tier boutique lodging. My husband and I stayed there while enjoying day hiking in the nearby Goat Rocks area. If you stay, be sure and take the time to wonder at all the small details that make this place special, like period graphics, charming vignettes throughout the spaces, fixtures and hardware that complement the history while extending a richness to the lodging experience. The common areas are so inviting. The dining area, should you want to bring your own meal, offers an enchanting space to have a romantic dinner, including delightful old time, big band sound playing softly in the background. The rooms are intimate and lovely with tastefully selected wall and furniture decor. The rich, white linens are amazing, and the bed and pillow selection ensure a blissful night's sleep. Owners and staff are clearly nearby if needed but never intrusive. Our interaction with them was wonderfully friendly and super accommodating. We are so glad we stumbled on this place and are looking forward to our next visit. The Historic Hotel Packwood is the perfect place to stay while visiting Mount Rainer National Park or the beautiful Goat Rocks Wilderness Area.

We loved the Historic Packwood Hotel! The bed was amazingly comfortable. The details from the wallpaper to the bathroom tile were painstakingly chosen with the era of the motel in mind. We loved reading on the porch in the evenings. Highly recommend a stay!

Great Getaway

a tad noisy when the highway is open - trucks rumble along. walking distance to several low key restaurants and a grocery store. Lovely restored hotel with modern amenities. we choose a room with a bathroom - can't comment on the wait if one is sharing between 2 rooms.

decor is excellent - breakfast across the street has great espresso and baked goods. get in line early! this was our second stay this summer.

great place to stay for day trips to Rainier

Such a lovely little hotel in a phenomenal location. Couldn't recommend it more!
