Possibly our most popular room, the Wonderland Trail Room is tucked into the northwest corner of the hotel. With windows facing in two directions, you can admire the sunset over mountains to the west or catch a snowy peak between the trees of the Goat Rocks to the north. You may recognize the Blackthorn wallpaper in this room. The intricate design was created in 1892, and became hugely popular when adapted for machine printed fabric in 1975.

#9 Wonderland Trail Private Bath -Adults only

A very comfortable, cozy, relaxing place to stay. Room #9 was perfect. The vibe of 1912 was perfect, including the decor, colors, solid wood squeaky floors, parlor (library), kitchen, fireplace room, wrap around porch with chairs/tables - all so relaxing and peaceful. The updated facilities, including amenities such as a very comfortable bed, area rugs, books, WiFi, Keurig, A/C, and other were wonderful. I will certainly be back in the future for another visit to such a wonderful historic hotel - a true gem.

A wonderful gem of a historic hotel

Such a cozy room, and peaceful setting. Can't wait for our next stay.

Perfect

This was a wonderful hotel to stay at for a couple days while exploring Mt. Rainier! The room was cozy and comfortable, and I very much enjoyed reading on the wrap around porch in the evenings. The decor and personal touches made it feel like home away from home.

Cozy, comfortable hotel

I had such a wonderful and unexpected stay at the historical Packwood. I will definitely come back if I am ever in the area. The hotel was thoughtfully appointed and dripped with charm. My room (the Wonderland Trail suite) was cozy and I loved all of the details. I had dinner across the street at the brewery and enjoyed a live band there. I was there on a weekend and there was an adorable local farmers market in the lot right next door. I had a lovely experience and will tell everyone I know!

Such a lovely stay

Loved this hotel- beautiful rooms, great location to walk to coffee shop and local brewery, nice amenities
