Situated on the acclaimed Sliema seafront, mere minutes away from the white rocky beach, this 2-bedroom contemporary penthouse is the perfect base for anyone who'd like to stay close to the beach, while also being a stone's throw away from St. Julian's. The town of Sliema offers plenty of entertainment options too; from a plethora of restaurants specialising in different cuisines, to a variety of fun bars where one can enjoy a drink or two. Sliema is truly the place to be when visiting Malta, for an all-round enjoyable stay.
The penthouse is spectacularly located on the 9th floor, served with lift till the 8th floor and a flight of steps takes you up to the 9th floor. The property boasts with breathtaking views from its expansive terrace. The terrace is a focal point in the penthouse; engulfing the property in natural light and framing it with the dynamic image of the open Mediterranean sea. This decked, breezy outdoor space offers al fresco dining opportunities, complete with gas BBQ for that truly authentic island feel. A lounge area can also be found on the terrace, where one can enjoy a coffee while watching the sunsets, or some Maltese wine before dinner time. The terrace flows into the open plan kitchen, living and dining area, with floor to ceiling windows which blur the lines between the outdoor and the indoor. The whole area is cleverly air-conditioned, meaning that it remains cool even in the summer sun.
The modern, black and wood accented kitchen is fully equipped with utensils, crockery and appliances, whereby one can prepare tasty home cooked meals. It also features a convenient breakfast bar, accentuated by three funky bar stools – a bar which can easily be transformed into a cocktail making station for some pre-dinner drinks. The neutral hued dining area provides ample space for four persons, and is decorated to the nines in contemporary décor. The comfortable living area comprises of a muted grey leather sofa, and an entertaining flat screen cable TV which features a wide variety of channels for one's perusal. Free Wifi is also available throughout the property.
The main bedroom exudes calmness and comfort, adorned in golden tones which further aid in creating a relaxing atmosphere after a long day of exploring. The double bed has accents of light wood, while the bedside lamps give a nod to the contemporary design of the penthouse. The ensuite bathroom continues the theme by also featuring wooden accents, and factors a spacious shower as well as a bidet. The second bedroom comprises of a 2nd double bed, and the room is decorated in earthy and blueish tones, which mirror the natural tones of the open sea just across the road. Both bedrooms are also fully air-conditioned, assuring a restful night's sleep even on the hottest of days. The family half bathroom includes a toilet and a sink, and also reflects the stylish décor of the accommodation through its chic black tiles.
This penthouse is the perfect abode for anyone wanting to visit Malta's most sought after locations of Sliema and St. Julian's, while also remaining connected with the rest of the island. With a bus stop just outside of the property, and buses running throughout the day, exploring the island is a breeze. The apartment is very spacious for 4 people, bright and offers the view as shown in the offer on the photos.
We felt very comfortable - especially appreciated the large terrace. Our host responded quickly to questions and acted promptly. The flat itself is well maintained. Some of the equipment in the kitchen has suffered a bit - but was still functionally okay. We especially appreciated the dishwasher, which is by far not found in every holiday flat in Malta. The bathroom was also pleasantly spacious and well maintained.
Only the entrance from the street and the staircase leading to the lift could have used some painting. Upon entering the flat, the WoW effect was all the more impressive. The flat is on the 6th floor and is reached via a small lift and then a small staircase. We liked our stay in the flat very much and will return if possible.
