Islanda

Situated in Winkelmatten, the chalet is just a five minute walk from the Matterhorn Express gondola, giving easy access to the slopes. In good conditions, it is possible to ski back to within 200 metres of the front door. The bus stops just outside the chalet meaning the town is easily reached. The main chalet accommodates up to eight guests, whilst a separate self-contained apartment on the ground floor accommodates a further four guests.

Built in typical Alpine style, the chalet combines classic Swiss architecture with contemporary features and furnishings. The entrance hall on the first floor leads into an open plan living and dining area with fireplace, sofas, armchairs and a teak dining table. There is also a modern and well-equipped kitchen. Doors open onto a balcony with magnificent Matterhorn views.

The chalet provides plenty of opportunities to unwind, either in the second sitting room on the ground floor or in the wellness area complete with sauna and rainfall shower. There is a heated ski room with boot warmers also on this level.

The main chalet is home to four twin/double bedrooms; three on the top floor and one on the first floor. The master bedroom has a TV and en-suite bathroom with bath and shower. The other two bedrooms on the top floor share a shower room and the fourth bedroom has a separate shower room across the hallway. On the ground floor are a further two twin/double bedrooms which share a bathroom. These make up the ground floor apartment along with the second sitting room which includes a dining area and kitchenette.

Chalet Milka in Zermatt

What a truly special week we had here. A fantastic base for skiing in Zermatt. The 6 bedrooms meant everyone had their own space. Having secure parking on site took all the stress out of arrival. The terrace was perfect for morning coffee with a view. Communication with the team was quick, friendly and professional. Ten out of ten. Do yourself a favour and book it.

Wonderful Zermatt escape

This chalet exceeded every expectation and then some. You really are perfectly placed in Zermatt. With 6 bedrooms there was easily enough room for our whole group. Having secure parking on site took all the stress out of arrival. The garden was a lovely spot to relax in the sun. The living space was generous and perfect for relaxing together. We would return without hesitation and cannot recommend it enough.

Comfortable and superbly located

This chalet exceeded every expectation and then some. The location in Zermatt was superb, close to the slopes and the village. The 6 bedrooms meant everyone had their own space. The garden was a lovely spot to relax in the sun. Evenings by the fireplace were so cosy. Attention to detail throughout the property was outstanding. We would return without hesitation and cannot recommend it enough.
