The space
Brand new modern vacation home on the rugged southwest coast of Vancouver Island. Overlooking the ocean and mountains, our home gives easy access to wonderful beaches and spectacular old growth forest. This friendly area is a treat for nature lovers and is the perfect place for exciting activities or deep relaxation. There are 2 bedrooms, one with a queen bed and the other with a king bed as well as a double sofa bed in the living room. Fully equipped kitchen with a gas range, cable TV with Netflix, gas fireplace and bluetooth speaker. Enjoy the propane fire table and gas BBQ on the balcony where you'll want to spend hours looking out at the spectacular ocean and mountain views.

Other things to note
This area is popular for fishing, cycling and hiking. Surfing, paddle boarding and kayaking down the Gordon River is very popular. So many places to go hiking and exploring including the gorgeous Botanical Beach and the old growth of Avatar Grove. Take a 10 minute drive to Fairy and Lizard Lake and enjoy floating on an air mattress or a dip in the lake to cool off in the heat of the summer months. Check out the entrance to the West Coast and Juan deFuca Trails. Take a 5 minute stroll to the new Gateway marina and Bridgemen's Bistro. Other amenities are the Port Renfrew Pub, the Coastal Kitchen (open seasonally) and Tomi's Cafe (great coffee, breakfast and lunch) at the foot of Baird Road.

The view is so beautiful and the place was well stocked it’s the best Airbnb I’ve stayed in by far there were so many thoughtful touches. It felt like a home away from home and the neighbourhood was friendly, and welcoming, it was so peaceful we will definitely stay again thank you Lynda for an amazing stay.

228 Coastal Comfort

With our daughter and her husband, my husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our four days in the cottage. It was stocked with everything you could need and more. This beautifully decorated and homey cottage was a relaxing location to take in the wild west coast. With a propane stove and gas fireplace, we were warm and cozy and able to prepare our meals even when a winter storm knocked out power for a few hours. We highly recommend this property.

Coastal Comfort

The property literally checked all the boxes...We had an incredible stay. The hosts had everything we needed and more. We took in some of the nearby sites which were pretty amazing and just chilled and relaxed on the balcony watching the fishing boats, listening to the waves, and enjoyed the view. Thank you for making the process so easy and wonderful!

#228 - Coastal Comfort cottage


Lynda’s place was perfect for the four of us. Great location next to the Marina. Her place is well stocked with everything you need and is comfortable. Awesome view of the bay and we had the pleasure of watching a thunder and lightning storm while there.

Beautiful home, incredible view, great location. I can’t say enough about how wonderful this spot is. The fire table overlooking the ocean, sunset every night. Life doesn’t get better than that
