The Owl House

The Owl House was so cozy and absolutely perfect for us. We loved having space to spread out and be comfortable after a day of adventures. Everything in the home is beautiful and so clean. Many homes have reviews that the home was clean…this was the first home that was actually clean, clean. I made sure to stop by Isabella’s downtown for some home decor because I loved so many pieces used in the home.

Very unique property with thoughtful design and excellent location. Can get all around the downtown area on foot from here, and not have to drive, look for parking, etc. Free parking right on Bench St. Bed super comfy, kitchen well equipped, and many unique areas to simply hang out and enjoy the space- especially the Rock Room! …Appreciated the snacks, cooled beverages, and granola bars. Two full baths, one up and one downstairs, and great water pressure. Hanging out in the morning or evening by the fireplace was so nice. Would stay here again!

Unique 

We don't want to tell people about the Owl House because we want it to be our best kept secret! Obviously, by us not wanting to share this most delightful, comfortable Airbnb with anyone else, you can guess that this Airbnb is at the top of our FAVORITE places to stay in Galena! From the ease of parking, to entering right off the street, to the calm and clean smell as soon as you walk through the door, everything was well-appointed. Well stocked kitchen with modern appliances. Comfortable lower level King-size bed with clean freshly scented linens and towels. Private screened in back yard porch and quaint outside seating area. Thank you so much Joan and Tara for making it a perfect week to celebrate our 37th Wedding Anniversary! We will return again! :)

Best Kept Secret

We stayed at Owl House for a relaxing weekend away. The rental was even better than the photos. It was exceptionally charming and immaculately clean. The location was amazingly convenient. The weather during our stay was 20 degrees with snow and wind and we still walked everywhere because we were so close. We basically parked in front of the house and never got back in our vehicle until we left. I will absolutely be coming back to Owl House and recommending to all our friends.
