Red Acre Cottage is nestled on a scenic ridge in the idyllic town of Rochester, just east of the Green Mountains and right off of Vermont Scenic Byway Route 100, one of the state's prettiest roads. Red Acre Cottage is an easy drive to Killington/Pico, Sugarbush, Mad River Glen, Rikert Nordic Center/Blueberry Hill XC skiing, Suicide Six, and Stowe Mountain. The Upper White River Valley is quickly becoming a mountain and road biking paradise!

Red Acre Cottage - Cozy Cottage in the Green Mountains

Mom and I visited over the Thanksgiving holiday and had a relaxing vacation in this cozy, adorable cottage in the mountains. Looking forward to my next visit!

Perfect Vermont experience

We love RAC so much that we have visited 5 times so far, and we plan to go back again! William is a wonderful host and is very attentive to his guests needs, as well as being a conservationist. The cottage is super clean, comfortable and well equipped. We'll be back!

5 times at Red Acre Cottage!

What a lovely home, location and experience. It was great getting to explore this part of Vermont. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Rochester, and the cabin is impeccably curated. Between the art work and books, there isn't a corner of the house that you don't find yourself exploring and appreciating. William was super responsive and we look forward to returning in the future.

Great Home &amp; Location

My husband and I loved this cottage in the forest above the village of Rochester. We biked and hiked and enjoyed the comfort of this cabin. We found it well stocked, much more spacious than expected, and appreciated the comfy bed. The wood stove worked great on a couple of the chilly nights and added to the ambience. The owner William is very responsive. Note there is good wifi for social media and news, but email and texts were spotty and there was no calling at all on my iPhone, even in town. A welcome retreat.

Sweet retreat

This is the second time my husband and I stayed at Red Acre cottage and we love it more every time. It feels like home when we walk in the door and William goes above &amp; beyond to make sure his guests have whatever they need to have a wonderful &amp; comfortable stay.  We adore Rochester, VT and can’t wait to return to Red Acre Cottage again soon!
