Bunker Lodge Apartment-HCRL

Grant and I had a wonderful stay at HCRL. The apartment was very nice and had everything we needed. Enjoyed being connected to the main lodge. Enjoyed good food with our friends Eric and Tina who worked diligently to make everyone welcome and taken care of. Staying connected to the main lodge allowed us to meet so many people from all over. Andrew, a nice young man who is a worldpacker volunteer (I think it's called) was so kind and we were so happy to eat and fellowship with him. Grant especially enjoyed being able to help around the lodge. Looked for Diamond Willow trees our whole trip and was assisted by Eric in getting some branches. He wanted to make a cane or canes and had heard from someone that was the best wood and available in Alaska. The scenery is absolutely gorgeous. Have to see it to believe it. Looking forward to another trip sometime. Thanks to our friends Mark and Ginger for making this stay available to us.

We had a great stay for one night in the bunker lodge apartment. A great location right next to Parks Highway, but still very quiet.

Great stay!

The apartment was charming, clean and would be a great place to stay for a week or more to enjoy the Denali area. Unfortunately, we were only there for one night. The lake and local trails would have been fun to explore.
