Welcome to our gorgeous Red Rock Cottage, our absolute beachfront new luxury 2-bedroom cottage, sitting at the edge of the ocean. We invite you to come, rest your soul, and create beautiful memories. 
The Cottage
Here you will find everything you need for a memorable stay. Each room has been carefully crafted with simplicity, a vintage air, and quality throughout; from the SMEG appliances, the beautiful linens, or a touch of chandeliers here or there.
The cottage is surrounded by birds, wildlife and our resident kingfisher family of birds. North facing, full of sunshine.   
We provide unlimited WIFI, a smart TV, all linen and towels including beach towels, kayaks and paddleboards. There is a hot outdoor shower by the patio deck, to relax under after spending time at the beach. 
(We choose not to supply disposable shower products, as we are committed to being environmentally sustainable in our practices.)
Activities
We are a perfect location to kayak or paddleboard (supplied with the cottage). Consider fishing, hunting for scallops for dinner (in season), or BBQ'ing under the trees on the patio deck. Panoramic views over the ocean, sit and watch the lights of Auckland city by night... If you are looking for something different, try cheesemaking, or our incredible personal chef! 
Our local village Clarks Beach
We have a lovely local restaurant (Chinwags), Thai, or a delicious takeaways - amazing fish burgers and fish and chips to eat while you watch the sun set!  A fabulous quaint hairdressers, liquor store, and dairy. For the golf lover, Clarks Beach Golf course - voted in the Top 10 country golf courses in New Zealand.

Red Rock Cottage, beachfront luxury ♥

It was a last minute booking for a 4 night stay and we loved every moment. Being able to escape Auckland with only a 40min drive was great. The cottage is wonderfully luxurious. It has everything you need as well as a fabulous view, easy access to the beach, tui in the giant Pohutukawa and a sky filled with stars at night. There are shops within walking distance so your needs are taken care of. Megan and Craig are wonderful hosts and will do anything to make your stay comfortable. The large bathroom, spacious bedrooms and well appointed kitchen are great. In summer you'll spend most of your time on the deck but the lounge is otherwise cosy inside. The amenities available are generous too (spa, SUP, kayaks). Seeing the Sky tower lit up at night is a bonus but it's still fair enough away to forget about the hustle and bustle. Thank you for a wonderful and relaxing stay.

Peace and tranquility

We absolutely loved this place and will most definitely be back. The hosts were amazing and super easy to communicate with, nothing was too much, even asking for our latest(3rd) adopted puppy to come with.

If you’re after peace and quiet then this is the spot. The yard was fully fenced for our 3 fur monsters and big enough for them to play in. A couple of steps out the front gate and you’re on the beach… bliss. Kayaks and paddle board made for fun times on the water.

Sunrise and sunset on the deck was beautiful. The house had everything you’d need and more. This place is truly a hidden gem.

Piece of paradise

Outstanding little piece of heaven, only 1 hour out if the city! Property is in a wonderful spot, stunning views 24/7, immaculately clean with everything you could want whilst staying way. Kayaks, stand up paddle board and spa pool to boot, beautiful decking to soak in the sun with lovely indoor outdoor flow! Truly outstanding hosts, thank you Megan & Craig for sharing your very special place - we cannot wait to come back! Merry Xmas & best wishes for 2025!

Little Piece Of Heaven

This property and the hosts are phenomenal. We could not have asked for a better experience or a more comfortable cottage. It’s even nicer than the pictures! The neighborhood was quiet and the cottage had everything we needed to enjoy travels to New Zealand. We traveled from the States and found the location to be perfect for day trips to the city, Hamilton, Raglan, Waitomo (glow worm caves), Hobbiton, and surrounding areas. We highly recommend!

Phenomenal!

We stayed at Red Rock Cottage in December 2023. This must be one of the best getaway spots to leave the stress of the big city behind and relax in comfort and style. The location, accommodation, hosts - everything is perfect! The fact that we can share it with our dog makes it priceless. Thank you, Megan and Craig, for allowing us to share your little bit of paradise.
