Between each reservation, our staff deep cleans both homes and drains, cleans and refills both hot tubs. We hold a Montana commercial accommodations license with fire safety inspections.</p>


<p>Construction was completed in 2021 and was designed specifically for the Yellowstone climate. Both homes have superior insulation, central air conditioning and heat, and stay naturally cool in summer thanks to the shaded decks.</p>

Our stay at Shelterwood was absolutely fantastic!! We were a group of 7 adults. My husband and I were traveling to Yellowstone with our adult children. The location was perfect! We were close to town and 20 minutes from the entrance to Yellowstone National Park. Both the main house and guest house were so charming and cozy. Jim & Toni were outstanding hosts! The house was well-appointed with everything we needed. It was clean, well-appointed, and comfy. We loved our time at Shelterwood! Thank you for allowing us to stay in your beautiful homes!!

Absolutely fantastic!!

We had an absolutely fantastic stay at Shelterwood Lodge! Our group of 10 rented both houses, and it was the perfect setup—spacious, comfortable, and incredibly convenient. The owners went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed, checking in and making sure our stay was seamless. Their attentiveness truly made a difference!

The property itself is beautiful, with direct access to snowmobile trails, which was a huge plus for our group. The kids had a blast sledding right at the house, and the surrounding winter scenery made for a perfect getaway. Everything was clean, well-stocked, and thoughtfully set up for guests.

We highly recommend Shelterwood Lodge and can’t wait to return! If you’re looking for a great place to stay with family or friends, this is it!

Amazing Stay at Shelterwood Lodge!

Our family of 14 recently rented the main lodge and cabin (immediately next door to each other) for an 8 night stay to use as a home base while exploring Yellowstone. We've rented luxury homes all over the world, and everyone said this was one of the best homes we've ever stayed in.

*Location - less than 10 minutes out of the town of West Yellowstone and the National Park entrance, but felt completely remote and private. The property is also located directly next to the West Yellowstone Rodeo and Diamond P ranch for horseback rides - both of which we really liked.

*Spaces: Exceptionally well stocked homes. We have a serious chef in the family, and he said he had everything he needed and more for all the meals. There is plenty of space for all the groups to get together for meals, hanging out at night, playing or watching a movie, etc. The decor feels like you are in Montana without being a cheesy log cabin. Everything felt modern, new, and high quality. The beds were comfortable, the showers were great, and we had plenty of room for everyone. There is also a nice hot tub at each house as well as laundry rooms and game rooms that we used multiple times. Having nice coolers, backpacks, tupperware, etc. that we could borrow for our park days was also a great touch.

*Hosts: Jim and Toni were great hosts. They communicated well, left detail instructions and area information for us, and were always a quick email away.

*Booking: We booked directly on their website and saved quite a bit over booking via the popular rental property websites.

All in all, highly recommended rental property in a terrific location.

We had the absolute best stay at this home with our family! From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by how pristine and beautifully maintained everything was-truly the cleanest and most well-kept house we've ever stayed in. The owners were incredibly kind and welcoming, which made the experience even more special. The location was perfect - peaceful, convenient, and just what we were hoping for. The house was fully stocked with every amenity you could think of, making if feel like a true home away from home. Cooking was an unexpected highlight; the kitchen was a dream, and they had every spice I could imagine (and then some!). We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. Highly, highly recommend-this home is a gem!
