Sauna:
Scandinavian sauna, with forest-facing floor to ceiling glass wall and electric Harvia stove, is located on the deck adjacent to the cabin. It's available year round, with complimentary use of the $35k sauna included in your booking, and exclusively private to cabin guests.
Trails on property:
Behind the sauna, you can follow a short private trail past impressive rocky outcroppings to a huge split-rock, which you can walk through. Throughout 2026 we'll be marking additional trails on the acreage for common use of property guests. There's also logging roads and woods paths you're welcome to explore around the property.
Note: Some interior images are composite images taken from actual photos of the property and views and actual photos of other existing ÖÖD cabins used as rentals. Interior furnishings will vary slightly. Final site mirrors this unique aesthetic in a serene, wooded setting with mountain views.
Site development work:
This ÖÖD cabin is part of a larger 7-cabin micro-development in phased buildout, with this cabin being the first. There will be signage guiding guests down the extensive network of private driveways leading off to other cabin sites. All cabin sites including this ÖÖD cabin is entirely secluded and visually private, and while at the cabin, you will see no one. The curved driveway ensures complete visual privacy. Over summer 2026 a private trail network is also planned to be marked throughout the property. You will have private access to the cabin, deck, a luxury $35k USD Scandinavian sauna with full glass walls looking out over the forest canopy, and a small yard and clearing with a firepit and grill.
There may be other ongoing site work elsewhere on the property, as this is a phased buildout of a multi-cabin private development. However, you have woods and mountain views 360 degrees around the cabin area and no construction activity is visible from the cabin. There may be construction noise happening during work hours, that you hear through the woods.

ÖÖD Whiteface at Jay - Scandinavian Mirror Cabin

Booked this cabin as a surprise birthday present for my boyfriend. He loved it, I loved it. Brand new cabin, spotless, glassy and classy, in the middle of nowhere which we love, surrounded by serenity, unbelievable views and not one person around. The area is amazing especially the whiteface mountain region. Jonathan is an amazing host. Will be coming back again to one of the properties. Thank you Jonathan for giving people this opportunity to experience nature in the most amazing cabin!
