Alp Chalet Gundersheim – Brand-new luxury chalet
This modern, detached holiday chalet in Alpine style accommodates up to 8 guests. It is set on a 555 m² private plot on the edge of the peaceful village of Gundersheim, in the sunny Gail Valley (Carinthia, Austria), with open panoramic views across the valley and the surrounding mountains, including the impressive Carnic Alps.
The chalet combines stylish comfort with excellent facilities: four bedrooms, three luxurious bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, a bright and spacious living room and a private infrared sauna. The sunny terraces surrounding the chalet are wonderfully peaceful and offer beautiful, unobstructed views across the Gail Valley and the mountains. The balcony also offers lovely views over the valley and the local practice ski slope.
Layout & facilities
• Spacious living room with panoramic views and dining area • Open-plan kitchen with oven, dishwasher, refrigerator, hob and coffee machine • 1 ground-floor bedroom with en-suite bathroom • 3 bedrooms on the upper floor (2 with balcony access) • 2 upstairs bathrooms with rain showers; one with a bathtub and infrared sauna • Underfloor heating throughout the chalet • Free WiFi, washing machine and dryer • Sunny terraces with unobstructed views • BBQ – also available for winter use – and table tennis table • 2 parking spaces (1 covered) • E-bike charging point • Baby cot and high chair available on request (small additional charge)
The chalet is non-smoking and pet-free, making it a pleasant choice for guests with allergies. The ground-floor bedroom with en-suite bathroom is also convenient for guests who prefer to stay on one level.
Good to know: a small number of additional holiday homes will be built in the area around the chalet in the coming period. The construction work is taking place on the opposite side of the road and therefore not directly next to the chalet. Depending on the construction schedule, some activity may occasionally be visible or audible during the daytime. Our guests consistently describe the chalet as a peaceful place offering plenty of privacy.

Alp Chalet Gundersheim

🇬🇧 We (a Dutch couple with two teenagers) spent ten days in this house in early August. The house itself is beautiful, spacious, and luxurious; it is equipped with everything you need. The garden and the view of the Gailtal are fantastic. There are countless beautiful hiking trails along the river, through forests, and past waterfalls and gorges (such as the Garnitzenklamm and Mauthner Klamm), as well as various swimming spots (Presseggersee, Weissensee, and local pools). All these locations are easily accessible by car. It is certainly worth your money and we would love to return one day!

Our holiday at the chalet and in the surrounding area was wonderful. There is plenty to do nearby, also for children. The house is perfect and has everything you need. Communication with the owners was excellent as well. Micazu-score: 9,0/10

Perfect chalet with plenty to do in the surrounding area

🇬🇧
A fantastic base for discovering the surrounding area. Shops and a bakery are conveniently located nearby.
The chalet itself is an absolute delight. It is fully equipped, tastefully furnished with a timeless design, and every detail has been carefully considered. We absolutely loved it!
With four spacious bedrooms and three bathrooms, it offers plenty of comfort and space. Everything is finished to a very high standard. The large dining area and open-plan kitchen are wonderful places to gather and spend time together.
The surrounding area offers countless opportunities for outdoor activities, from easy walks to challenging mountain hikes. Tobogganing, swimming, and cycling are also all within easy reach.
The location is both beautiful and practical. The carport is a great addition and even provides a perfect spot for a game of table tennis. The insect screens on all windows and doors are a thoughtful feature and made our stay even more comfortable.
Highlights: Luxury • Stunning mountain views • Peaceful surroundings • Family-friendly • Excellent value for money.

A wonderful place to explore the region!

Veľmi krásny pohodlný moderne vybavený dom postavený v peknom prostredí.. Dovolenku sme si maximálne užili. Krásne výhľady z každého okna. Profesionálny prístup majiteľov ktorí nám dali odrhrnúť cestu keď napadlo veľa snehu. Určite sa sem ešte vrátime. Vrelo odporúčam.
🇬🇧 Translation:
A very beautiful, comfortable, and modernly equipped house set in a lovely environment. We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday. There are beautiful views from every window. The owners were very professional and even arranged for the road to be cleared when a lot of snow fell. We will definitely return. Highly recommended.
