Binion Lodge sits on 2.3 wooded acres just steps from Beaver Lake, with Lake Shelbyville only yards away — making it one of the most naturally immersive vacation rentals in central Illinois. The 1,850 sq ft home features two bedrooms and two bathrooms and sleeps up to eight guests comfortably, with full wheelchair accessibility throughout.
The lodge itself is a thoughtfully renovated home (built in 2016), blending antiques and vintage pieces with brand-new furnishings for a space that feels both charming and comfortable. Local wildlife artwork sets the tone for what you'll experience just outside the door — deer crossing the lawn at dusk, eagles overhead, foxes in the tree line, and birds flocking to the feeders from morning to evening. Two sides of the property adjoin USACE woodland, giving the retreat a true sense of seclusion without sacrificing any convenience.
An 830 sq ft attached garage has been converted into a game room and is a guaranteed crowd-pleaser for guests of all ages. The wide porch and open backyard make the property ideal for entertaining, family gatherings, or simply unwinding in the fresh air. Ample parking with electrical outlet access means there's room for boats, campers, and all the gear that comes with a proper outdoor adventure.
You'll have full access to the entire home and all 2.3 acres. Whether your ideal stay involves fishing, hunting, canoeing, or doing absolutely nothing at a peaceful pace, Binion Lodge has everything you need to make it happen.
Dogs welcome — up to two pets.

Binion Lodge: Wooded Privacy Near Lake Shelbyville

We booked this place for a trip to Shelbyville for a wedding. It met all of our expectations and then some. It’s in the country so if you like the quiet life and nature, this place is for you. It didn’t lack for anything, beds were very comfortable, everything was super clean, and the outside spaces were awesome. Honestly, we wished we had booked it for a couple of more nights just so we could relax and enjoy the solitude. Everything from checkin to checkout went exceptionally well. Definitely recommend.

Great place

We all loved the property! It was very spacious, short walk to the lake, and we loved watching the birds and squirrels. We were up for a reunion and will definitely book this place the next time we come up.

This house and the property are amazing. It is stocked with everything you might need. The house is spacious and beautifully decorated. The kitchen has everything one might need. The outdoor area is beautiful and offers great seating areas, a full size gas grill and a fire pit area. Contact with the host was prompt and extremely helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Awesome

My family and I had a great time staying at the Binion Lodge. My kids and dog really enjoyed the open yard and seeing all of the birds by the bird feeder. The game room was also a hit. The lodge had everything we needed and more. We would love to be back someday.
