Kahieluana means a place to relax and enjoy the company of loved ones. That’s why we custom designed this brand new house to have 5 masters, so nobody has to get the bad room. And whether your version of relaxing means reading in a beachside hammock, playing tennis, snorkeling with turtles, whipping up an incredible meal with local ingredients, all of these activities and more are onsite so you can do all the relaxing you need without having to leave the two acre property.
The house features a heated pool and deck that is designed for everyone to gather to watch the sunset. The bay directly in front of the house is shallow and wave-free, ideal for our young son to learn to swim, spend afternoons playing in the black sand and watch an assortment of turtles, juvenile fish and sea animals. Whales breach from December through March.
If you choose to leave the property, you will find Puako to be charming and authentic, things you can't get at a commercial resort. Amazing sea life abounds in our reef, including turtle cleaning stations, colorful tropical fish and manta and spotted eagle rays. We have a well-stocked general store (fresh poke on Friday) a short walk or bike down the road filled with colorful locals. In the other direction, Beach 69, a local secret, is a 10 minute walk with waves, white sand, and great snorkeling.

We look forward to welcoming your extended family or your group of friends with Aloha.

Kahieluana: a place to relax & enjoy loved ones

We brought three generations of our family, including 4 grandchildren 9-11 years old, to celebrate our 50th anniversary. Once-in-a-lifetime splurge, and worth every penny. Kahei Luana was the absolutely gorgeous, private, special setting we wanted, and close to shopping, hikes and larger sand beaches for catching waves. The owners and manager were easy to contact and wonderfully accommodating. The Big Island is now our favorite, and Kahei Luana just spectacular.

A dream vacation at a dream ho

I’ve been to the Hawaiian islands many times and stayed at many wonderful places…but Kahieluana is a uniquely magical haven. A magnificent home set in the most idyllic location. Also, I’d like to thank you for the incredible attention to detail as we planned for three generations of family to celebrate our ”Coral” 35th anniversary.

A Uniquely Magical Haven

Kahieluana was everything we expected and more! The home owners did not skip on any details, every room is unique and beautiful. The 2 master bedrooms have outdoor showers and baths, an experience you won't find at a resort. We had a mixed group of adults and children who loved the pool, tennis courts, volleyball courts, SUP boards and snorkeling equipment. Everyone was very comfortable and had their own space. The Puako neighborhood is a hidden gem on the Big Island and short 25 minute drive from Kona airport. Its nestled in-between the Mauna Kea and Mauna Lani, so you are very close to many great dining options. We came back from this vacation very relaxed, can't wait to go back! Mahalo

Tropical Paradise

Can you hear it?...This is truly a magical place... private cove... quiet, immense star-filled sky... jump on a paddle board, snorkel in majestic waters, relax by the most perfectly designed pool ever, with perfect water temperature... kick back and watch a sunset from the deck while drinking Champagne, skin freshly kissed by the warm sun, while the warm breeze whispers, "enjoy this moment forever..." Every detail and amenity is unique... and well thought out, you'll feel like royalty walking down the halls, taking a shower, or lounging by the pool... We can't wait to get back here...!

The spirit of Aloha is here.....

What an amazing space, not one detail was missed in the building of this beautiful home! We were spoiled being so close to a perfect little cove and enjoyed all the amenities, especially the fire pit! Will be back very soon, thank you so much for creating such a great space!
