Experience the beauty of Bourbon County in our newly renovated log cabin, located just 30 minutes from Lexington, KY and outside of Paris. Nestled on Stoner Creek in the midst of thoroughbred country, our cabin has been featured in various magazines and on TV, including the Peter Millar fall catalog.

Our cabin sits on the banks of Stoner Creek (which is a small river). It is great for canoeing, hiking, fishing and horseback riding. A beautiful screened in porch awaits for you to enjoy a morning coffee while enjoying the trickle of the spring house and sounds of nature. The stone fireplace is perfect to warm up after a day enjoying the property.

Canoe on the river, fishing, hiking, horseback riding on request, trap/skeet shooting on request, etc... Also, helicopter transport from local airports can be arranged from LEX, CVG, SDF or any local general aviation airfield.

We are available anytime to make your stay more comfortable and have a full time farm manger as well.

We are located in the middle of thoroughbred horse country. Many Kentucky Derby winners have been bred, stood stud, or stabled within 5 miles of our property:

Gallant Fox 1930
Omaha 1935
Sea Biscuit - of course the little power house never won the Derby, but was named Horse of the Year 1938 and Champion Handicap Horse.
Johnstown 1939
Jet Pilot 1947
Cannonaro II 1971
Riva Ridge 1972
Gato Del Sol 1982
Swale 1984
Ferdinand 1986
Sunday Silence 1989
Thunder Gulch 1995
Fusaichi Pegasus 2000
Orb 2013

You will need a car to get around and we have free private on site parking

Cabin in Kentucky Horse Country

This is my second stay at this location and it was just as beautiful as I remember! Being able to step out on that incredible patio and see horses running in the field next to you is simply breathtaking! All details were spot on and Chet and Robert were both delightful to talk to and very helpful!

Will Definitely Return

Serene and peaceful. Really a beautiful place and felt like a really perfect place for an anniversary away.
The creek was truly a pleasure to sit beside and kayak; the local area scenic to drive and not too far from hiking. We enjoyed watching the horses, sheep and llama in the pasture and listening to birdsong. What a treat!

What a treat!

This was our third time at the cabin after getting engaged here in 2017, and it is still as perfect as ever. This was our first time getting to use the kayaks on the nearby creek, which was a great bonus. The cabin includes everything you need to have a nice, peaceful weekend and the scenery couldn't be more picturesque. Chet & Diane were great hosts as always and made sure we had a great experience. We hope to be back again soon!

This was our third time at the cabin

Check in and out was a breeze. Chet was so communicative, friendly and welcoming. Words cannot describe this location. If you need to reset and prioritize your life this is the place. It was hard to leave, we will be returning!

It was hard to leave!

We had a wonderful fall weekend at this beautiful cabin. The setting is idyllic - quintessential Kentucky horse country. We loved kayaking, petting the baby horses, and watching Dr. Pepper roam. The cabin was spotless, cozy, and perfect for a romantic getaway. A.J., the farm manager, was incredibly responsive and helpful. Gorgeous fall foliage, scenic drives, and great dinners at Trackside made it an unforgettable stay.
We can't wait to come back.
