Mermaid House – A Sun-Filled Coastal Escape in Biddeford Pool
Welcome to Mermaid House, a classic coastal retreat nestled in the heart of charming Biddeford Pool—one of Maine’s most beloved seaside villages. This sunny, upscale home offers the perfect blend of relaxed beach living and refined comfort, just moments from the ocean and within easy reach of Kennebunkport and Portland.
Biddeford Pool is wonderfully quaint and timeless, known for its quiet lanes, working harbor, and unspoiled beaches. It’s the kind of place where mornings begin with salty air and evening walks end with glowing sunsets—yet you’re only about 15 minutes from Kennebunkport’s boutiques and dining scene and roughly 30 minutes from Portland’s vibrant food, arts, and waterfront culture.
The home itself exudes classic coastal charm, from its traditional shake exterior to its light-filled, spacious interior. Outside, a lush, manicured garden, private firepit, and expansive ground-level deck create an ideal setting for warm summer evenings. Grill fresh seafood on the private gas grill, dine alfresco in the ocean breeze, or simply unwind under the stars.
Inside, you’ll find every comfort for gathering and relaxing. The gourmet kitchen pairs beautifully with a generous dining area—perfect for holiday meals or casual family dinners. The finished basement doubles as a fun-filled game room, complete with ping-pong, foosball, plenty of lounge space, and even a swing—sure to delight guests of all ages. Cozy movie nights await in the back familyroom with high-speed WiFi, a 75” 4K TV, sleeper sofa, and ensuite bathroom.

Mermaid House | A Sunny Seaside Escape

From start to finish everything about our stay at Mermaid house was wonderful!
Kport Concierge communicated clearly throughout and they couldn’t have been more nicer or more responsive when we had questions or requests on site.
We had a happy stay at Mermaid House several years ago and it was even better this time. The house was spotless, comfortable, had was stocked with everything we could need. It’s in a fabulous location with easy access to the village and to both beaches.
