Welcome to La Choza! ☀️

La Choza 29 is an entire private house in Twentynine Palms, California, with two bedrooms, two bathrooms and four beds, sleeping up to six. It has a saltwater pool (heating is available in the winter months for $75 a day), a hot tub and a Level 2 EV charger. Joshua Tree National Park’s East Entrance is about 8 minutes away, so you skip the West Entrance traffic, and downtown Twentynine Palms is 5 minutes. Inside are a hand-crafted chef’s kitchen and a wood-burning fireplace. Outside, more than 100 acres of open desert run next to the property with no neighbors to the south or west, so the night sky stays dark for stargazing. It works well for a family or two couples traveling together.

We customized and handcrafted every inch of La Choza to evoke the perfect blend of vacation vibes that will leave you feeling refreshed, relaxed, and recharged. If you're into cooking and entertaining in beautiful and functional spaces, you've come to the right place! We provide absolutely everything you could possibly need to enjoy your stay - the perfect cookware, utensils, appliances, spices, coffee and teas, luxurious beds and linens, stylish outdoor lounging, stimulating games and puzzles, and desert night hot tub soaking with a real wood burning fire under the stars. Book now to experience the difference between a commercially operated BnB and a custom-curated vacation home! ★ We're not your typical vacation home - we take pride in providing an exceptional experience to each of our guests, every time. This requires a commitment from every guest that they will take good care of our home and treat it with respect. By booking with us you are agreeing to tread lightly, clean up after yourself (especially in the kitchen), and follow our simple check-out instructions so that we can keep things running smoothly and provide excellent hospitality for years to come. We love sharing our home with clean and respectful guests who treat our place with care - if you are the type to leave a mess and not follow check-out instructions, please do not book with us! ★ Please note that our place is best suited for 4 adults (perfect for 2 couples) but we can accommodate up to 6 (4 adults + 2 kids or 5 adults + 1 kid) for an additional $50 per person, per night. We do not accept bookings for 6 adults as our place is quite cozy and would feel cramped with 6 adults AND we also do not accept more than 4 guests for a single night reservation. ★ We do offer early check-in at 2pm and late check-out at 12pm for an additional $75 each. You can add either one at checkout. ★ Please note that we do not accept pets of any kind, this allows us to keep our place absolutely pristine and spotless at all times :) ★ We are on the edge of a neighborhood, however there are 100+ acres of open land and unobstructed mountain views to the south and west so it feels very expansive. ★ If you leave an item behind we'd be happy to ship it back to you but we do charge $10 + actual shipping fees :) ★ In-Ground Pool ★ We designed and built our pool with both aesthetics and functionality in mind. Although small (12x18ft), it delivers a totally fresh and unique experience that will keep your body cool and your mind curious. We also provide a giant 10ft umbrella that fits into a sleeve in the baja shelf for that much needed midday shade as well as floaties, water toys, and goggles for the kids. Expansive and unobstructed mountain views complete the desert vibe, making La Choza the perfect spot for your next desert getaway! *Pool heating is available during the winter months for $75 per day. Add it at checkout and we will program the heater to turn on for your stay. ★ Super Fast WiFi ★ Our WiFi speed is 920 Mbps - perfect for streaming on multiple devices and especially nice for remote work. ★ Level 2 EV Charger ★ We provide a level 2 EV charger for all of our guests free of charge. Please let us know if you plan to use it so we can activate it for the duration of your stay. ★ Digital Guidebook ★ After booking, you will receive a beautiful digital guidebook with all the information you could possibly need during your stay. Think of it as a house manual wrapped inside a local area guide. You'll find easy check-in and check-out instructions as well as helpful pictures and videos on how to operate everything in the house. We've covered literally everything in the guidebook so that your stay can be completely stress-free. ★ Clean Water ★ Have you ever stayed at a high-end vacation rental and thought you were getting a high-end experience, only to discover your hair and skin coarse and dry after showering? Are you concerned about exposure to toxic chemicals in your water? Don't you want to immerse yourself in a glorious pool and spa filled with crystal clean filtered (and 3rd party lab-tested) water? Most people are unaware of the terrible water quality in the high desert and how bad it can be for your skin, hair, and health. But don't worry, we have you covered. Our custom whole-house water filter is specifically designed to remove the exact contaminant profile found in the 29 Palms water supply. *Have a look at the EPA water report for 29 Palms (one of the last photos in our gallery) to see what you're missing, and why that's a good thing :) ★ Location ★ 1mi to Stater Bros 1mi to Grocery Outlet 3mi to Downtown 29 + Restaurants 4mi to Tortoise Rock Casino (Tesla Supercharger) 4mi to 49 Palms Oasis Trailhead 7mi to Indian Cove Campground 8mi to East Park Entrance Some of the best dining in the high desert can be found just a few miles away (Kitchen in the Desert, Mara, GRND SQRL, + more!) ★ Amenities ★ - Keyless entry Level Lock + Keypad (use the app or the last 4 of your phone # for access) - Laundry room access - Fast wifi (920 Mbps) - Whole-house water filtration & softener (safe + clean, no heavy metals!) - AC & heat (3 zone mini-split system w/remotes) - Ceiling fans in bedrooms, kitchen, & living area (w/remotes) - Dimmable lights (kitchen, living area, sunroom, back patio) - Outlets throughout the home with USB ports for easy charging (Apple + Android cables provided) - High chair - Pack n' Play crib - Kids plasticware ★ Kitchen ★ - Locally crafted, custom ash wood kitchen cabinetry (Gemini Woodworks) - Kucht Professional gas range/oven (4 burners) - Premium cookware (All Clad, Calphalon, Le Creuset) - Built-in mini dishwasher (perfect for single meals) - CuisinArt Air Fryer (toaster oven) - NutriBullet blender - Stagg electric water kettle - Ceramic burr coffee grinder, french press, pour over, and drip coffee maker ★ Pool + Laundry ★ - Beautiful custom concrete cocktail pool with Baja shelf and unobstructed mountain views - Large 10ft diameter umbrella that fits in sleeve in Baja shelf - 2x custom poolside lounger pads (27x76") - Pool toys (floaties, goggles, snorkles, balls, etc.) - Automated pool shark for easy mid-stay cleaning - Access to laundry room (1 washer + 2 dryers) ★ Rooms ★ - Casper king mattresses & cozy jersey cotton bedding - Mango wood king platform beds - Extra twin-size daybed in master bedroom (w/additional bedding upon request) - Desk workstations in both bedrooms ★ Bathrooms ★ - Original 1950’s Thermador wall heaters in both bathrooms - Custom overhead multi-color lighting - Floating concrete sinks with personal storage space beneath ★ Living Area ★ - 55” Roku TV with Netflix, Amazon Prime, & Disney Plus - Marshall bluetooth speaker (not portable) - Custom ladder desk workstation - Full size sofa sleeper (w/bedding upon request) - Stimulating games & puzzles ★ General ★ - Mini-split system in the sunroom (heat + cooling) - Hallway closet with backups and extras - Custom pillows throughout (by Hunted Fox) - Carefully curated selection of succulents & cacti - Cordless lightweight vacuum cleaner for easy cleanups ★ Backyard ★ - Real wood-burning fire pit, Mexican blankets, extendable metal marshmallow roasting sticks - Outdoor games (giant dice, shuffleboard, more to come!) - Large natural gas BBQ grill (never runs out!) - Hot Springs hot tub (seats 5) - Natural gas patio heater ★ Provisions ★ - Shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand soap, lotion (Public Goods) - Q tips and cotton pads (organic) - Paper towels & TP - Organic Joshua Tree Coffee Co. beans - Organic Rishi Teas - Organic sugar, stevia, & monk fruit - Organic spices, salts & pepper, olive oil, etc. - Iron, ironing board, & hair dryer - Pack n Play travel crib (40 x 27.5 x 25.5 inches) - High chair (3 in 1 different height options) - Kids plastic kitchenware - Apple & Android charging cables - 2 yoga mats - Firewood available on-site (no charge) Guest access You have access to the entire house and 1 acre property. You might see rabbits, coyotes, mice, beetles, snakes, spiders, etc. Keep in mind that the desert is their home and it's all part of the experience. The backyard is fully fenced for additional protection. ★ Security ★ For your safety we have a front doorbell camera, front patio camera, driveway camera, and camera on the left side of the house as well as motion lights on the front porch and sides of the house. These are primarily intended for theft deterrence during vacancy but can also be helpful in letting us know when you have arrived and checked out. We respect your privacy and do not actively monitor on our guests :) ★ Septic ★ Like most homes in the desert, we are on a septic system so please do not flush anything down the toilets other than toilet paper. ★ Wifi ★ There is excellent cell phone service at the house and we have extremely fast internet (920mbps). ★ Morning Light ★ We have lots of natural light at La Choza! While we do have roll up shades on all the windows, they are not blackout. If you're a late sleeper, we recommend bringing a sleep mask. ★ Neighborhood ★ While we do have a couple of neighbors, when you're here (especially in the back) it feels like you're the only one as there's over 100 acres of undeveloped land to the south and west. ★ Groups + Parties ★ If you plan to have any additional guests at the property during your stay we ask that you notify us in advance to get approval - we allow a maximum of 6 people total. Only guests listed on the reservation will be allowed for overnight stays, no exceptions. If we discover that more than 6 guests are at the property at any given time (without prior consent) we will consider it a 'party' and reserve the right to charge the guest $500 for deep cleaning additional and wear and tear/maintenance. We don't mind if you want to have a few additional guests over for dinner, pool use, etc. but please check in with us first! ★ Filming + Photography ★ If you are planning to do any kind of filming or photography you MUST get consent from us first and we will require a minimum $500 deposit + additional filming fees depending on the nature of the project.
