This unique newly remodeled one-room stucco casita is surrounded by the Gila Wilderness. &nbsp;This unit contains one room with one queen-size bed and one twin-size bed and has a full-size bathroom with a tub/shower combination. &nbsp;Your kitchen has a refrigerator, stove, microwave, and coffeepot. &nbsp;It comes equipped with dishes and pots and pans. &nbsp;&nbsp;Your cabin is tastefully furnished with artwork depicting the local area.
-With unobstructed views of the Mogollon mountain range from your private front patio, enjoy a steaming cup of hot coffee. &nbsp;Your patio is equipped with a gas fire pit, table, chairs, and a propane BBQ grill. &nbsp;
-This structure (in which Casita 1 through 4 are located) was originally built in the mid-1930s during the Great Depression to house the CCC boys and men who worked with conservation and development of natural resources in the area, included the spectacular Catwalk. &nbsp;After the CCC projects were complete, my grandfather turned the building into his hay barn for our family's ranch. &nbsp;In 1998, my mother repurposed the hay barn into the casitas that exist today.
-The picturesque Catwalk National Recreation Trail is only an 8 minute drive past our resort. &nbsp;As the river flows down the Whitewater Canyon, it cascades over huge boulders creating splashing waterfalls and hidden pools, magical places in our high desert environment. &nbsp;A variety of bridges traverse the incredible canyon with breathtaking soaring stone formation.&nbsp; The developed trail is 2 miles one way - and climbs upwards into the canyon. &nbsp;Parts of this trail were upgraded in 2003 for handicap access - it is wheel chair accessible to the end of the reconstructed trail, about half a mile one way. &nbsp;Beyond the developed trail, more rigorous trails lead into the Gila Wilderness. &nbsp;There are a variety of other incredible hikes that are not as frequently visited by tourists. &nbsp;I will be glad to send you more info on these as well. &nbsp;You will definitely need a vehicle to get to Glenwood and the Catwalk. &nbsp;From your cabin's front door, you can enjoy walking and biking up a nearby canyon and just leisurely strolling the tree covered local roads. 
-Thorough communication will ensure you have an easy check-in during your stay at the Double T Catwalk Resort. &nbsp;Maps of the Glenwood area and of the Resort itself will ensure you know right where you are staying. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;A lockbox is provided for self check-in so you don't have to be concerned with your arrival time. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Dusk to dawn patio lights will always be on to welcome you so you are never fumbling around in the dark. &nbsp;I will be available by phone - call or text. &nbsp;Rachel, my assistant property manager, lives only minutes away from the resort if needed.&nbsp;

#3 Casita Cochise at the Catwalk, 1 BdRm Casita w/ Kitchen

Went to stay at #3 Casita for Labor Day weekend.  The cabin was very comfortable and convenient. Sitting in front of the view of the mountains and we had a visit of mama deer and her baby doe in front of our porch.  I  recommend this place for a great getaway  ☺️

I would absolutely come back here! Is very clean and cute. Also very quiet. We woke up to deer on the porch our first morning and it was amazing! Can't wait to go back


Such a cute place to stay!

Wow! What a perfect little spot for our small family on a one night trip. We didn’t want to bring the camper for a short weekend (although their RV hook ups are adorable!!) so we got this beautiful and functional casita! 

It felt like home and my son got a kick out of the deer feeding in the field outside our front door. The kitchen, grill and little fireplace really impressed us especially since dining out is very limited in the area. 

On Sunday morning we took the recommendation for a small local garden/home kitchen that served breakfast and we were in love with our hosts and food was great. 

We’re already planning another trip this summer for the garden harvest and another night at the Double T!!! Thank you Laurie!

Casita was well furnished, comfortable and very clean.
Loved walking the Catwalk…so very beautiful and breathtaking!
Wish we would have planned staying longer, but our trip included Mogollon and then north to Santa Fe and Taos.
