The SPICY PELICAN is a premier NEW custom built 4 bedroom, 3.5 bath gorgeous St. George Island, Florida home with fantastic ocean views. This perfect beach retreat is nestled on a half-acre with views of the ocean from all 3 decks. Enjoy an easy 150-step walk to the beach by way of a DIRECT beach path from our house to the ocean. We are a 2nd tier home but with 1st tier views. No roads to cross to enjoy this secluded neighborhood beach which is the definition of the Forgotten Coast vibe! We have 3 king bedrooms, two of which are spacious master bedrooms on both the first and second floor, plus an additional bedroom with a queen-size bed and a twin with trundle. 
We are a handicapped accessible house with not one, but two handicapped accessible bathrooms with grab bars, available shower chair, and available handicapped toilet set upon request. We also have an elevator which you can request access to for an additional&nbsp; deposit for the week. Please message Host in advance if you desire access to the elevator for specifics. 
This warmly decorated open concept home offers 4 bedrooms and 3.5 baths and can sleep up to 10 people. The exterior of the property offers spacious under-house concrete parking. Wash off after an enjoyable trek to the beach with a hot / cold outdoor shower. The ground level entry has a designated place to hang your beach towels for daily use.
The first floor offers loads of sleeping space in three bedrooms. The beautifully appointed master king bedroom offers an office desk, comfy glider with ottoman, private bathroom, and direct access to the covered deck. There is an additional king bedroom with an antique dresser and direct access to the deck. The other bedroom sleeps 4 in a queen size bed and a twin with a trundle. The first-floor den features a 65-inch smart tv, gaming system, and has direct access to the deck as well. There is an additional shared bathroom on this floor plus a laundry room with washer/dryer. 
The second floor boasts warm vaulted ceilings in an open living/dining/kitchen floor plan. The nautically designed open concept great room includes a 65-inch smart tv, music alcove with a coastal painted piano, extra TV trays, dining space for 17 (6-person dining table, 4-person breakfast bar, and a 3-person bistro table), and a wall of windows and glass doors to admire the wonderful ocean views for a perfect relaxing time together. There is a spacious 2nd floor master bedroom with a custom designed shower with two shower heads. The master bedroom includes a 75-inch TV, plush swivel chair, and private access to a covered porch from which you can enjoy your cup of coffee in the mornings or glass of wine in the evenings as you watch and listen to the peaceful ocean. 
All decks facing the ocean have ample seating including swings, conversation chairs with end tables, cushioned chairs, and a large&nbsp; outdoor dining table ideal for family time! 
We are in a private, gated community located on the west end of St. George Island. It features a special balance of nature and wildlife, pristine beaches and beautiful homes, and solitude. Spicy Pelican guests may enjoy amenities exclusive to the community members: two community pools (one is Olympic size), tennis and pickleball courts, fitness center, nature trails, access to Bob Skies Cut and more. The bike path spans the entire Island up to the State Park for a short/long bike ride, run or leisurely (mostly shaded) walk.

Owners: We are lifetime Franklin County people whose family literally were one of the very first occupants of the Island before there were bridges! Our family dates back to the 1700’s for settling in Franklin County.

*Golf carts are not permitted for renters in this part of the Island.

*Bonfires are NOT allowed at our house/ property.
*Elevator use is available for an additional fee.&nbsp;Renter and renter's guests usage of our rental home elevator is restricted to adults ONLY. All children under the age of 18 years are NOT PERMITTED to ride/ use the elevator unless accompanied by an adult. It will only be unlocked if the Guest has paid the elevator usage fee.&nbsp;

*Dogs are welcome but the owner must give permission for the dog to be included in the rental at the time of the booking and prior to the renter's stay. MAX 2.&nbsp;&nbsp;Please do not allow dogs on furniture or beds. A crate and dog bowls can be provided upon request.&nbsp; There will be an extra fee to allow dogs. The following rules apply to all dogs on premises.
<ul><li>Renter acknowledges that pet is free of communicable infections or any parasites such as fleas.</li><li>Pet is well-trained, socialized and does not have a history of biting, excessive barking, chasing or aggressive behavior.</li><li>Pet is house-trained and Renter will immediately clean up any accidents that might occur in the house or on the property.</li><li>Renter agrees to clean up immediately when the pet uses the home premises, yard, or other surrounding areas, and dispose of waste quickly and appropriately. If extra cleaning is required to clean up after the pet in the yard (stool) or the home, there will be an extra cleaning fee to be paid by the renter.</li><li>Pet must be kept&nbsp;leashed, but not tethered, when it is outside the rental.</li><li>Renter agrees to pay immediately for any damage caused by pet.</li></ul>
*Children welcome. We can provide a Pack N Play, high chair, and baby bouncer with canopy if requested.&nbsp;

Spicy Pelican Coastal Paradise on St. George Island, Florida

The Spicy Pelican is the best! Plenty of room for all our grown kids/grandchildren and dogs!! Very accommodating with plenty for the baby with a pack and play, high chair and even an activity bouncer. Also has crates for the dogs and had the bowls there too! Beautiful home with all the kitchen needs. Great views and love the easy access to the beach!! Thank you so much for letting us stay in your home!

Awesome House

Our family stayed in Spicy Pelican for the last two weeks of July 2024. We came from many states to witness a special occasion and spend time together. Spicy Pelican was a perfect location. The house easily accommodates ten guests. We enjoyed the easy access to the beach, the large areas to gather both inside and out, the comfortable beds, the kitchen that included any and everything you might need except the food, the games, access to plantation facilities, and more. Our hosts quickly responded when we had a question and resolved the two minor issues we experienced during our stay. It was an awesome experience in every way!!!

Awesome House for Family

We had one of the best family vacations with our family. Your beautiful home is perfect  for large families to share….lots of space to be alone but also an amazingly large living area/kitchen and dining room upstairs to enjoy meals together or watching tv or playing games. The beds were very comfortable, the bathrooms were nice and big and the kitchen was well supplied with everything needed to cook our meals.  The path to the beach was easy to walk..less than 3 minutes …never crowded on the beach ..maybe 4 or 5 other families. We also enjoyed sitting on the upper deck, listening to the ocean waves and feeling the breeze as we read and took an occasional nap. The house was exceptionally clean and beautifully decorated and the owners checked in with us on arrival. Thanks so much for allowing our family to enjoy your wonderful home …It was our first trip to St George Island but certainly won’t be our last. Thanks again!!

Wonderful Family Vacation

We absolutely loved staying at Spicy Pelican.  It was a very nice super clean house.  The short walk down a sandy path to a board walk took us to the beautiful water where we saw dolphins every day.

The wrap around porches were large with comfortable seating.

Our rooms were very comfortable with really nice bathrooms with large showers.

The WIFI was exceptional.  The TVs are big and all worked great for streaming shows.

We paid to use the elevator which was helpful with taking up our food and luggage.  You have to follow the rules in the elevator but it worked perfectly.

I wholeheartedly recommend Spicy Pelican.  We hope to stay there next year.
