A lovely traditional cottage in the East Lothian countryside with a sunny garden amongst the trees. It is very close to the John Muir Way walking and cycling routes and just a few miles to golf courses at North Berwick and Gullane. The cottage is 3 miles from East Linton (which has two pubs, a butcher, a bookshop and a railway station) and 4.5 miles from North Berwick (and its numerous facilities), via off-road routes. Three lovely cafes are within 2.5 miles via different off-road/quiet road routes.

Newbyth Garden Cottage

I'm so pleased we found this cottage. The accommodation is superb with everything you could possibly want or need. The welcoming pack was a delightful surprise.
The location is just great - everything seemed so close by - wonderful walks and the most amazing beaches, castles, harbours and gardens too.

Fabulous cottage

We stayed here with our 2 adult children, the place is amazing, it has everything you need and good quality. The decor was very much us and Michael was very helpful and gave us a fantastic welcome pack. There are some nice local walks and we saw hare and deer in the evening. A very enjoyable stay by all… didn’t want to leave.

Wonderful stay

I had an absolutely fabulous weekend at Garden Cottage! If you are looking for a truly relaxing and restoring solo getaway, this is the perfect place. The owner, Michael, is really helpful and friendly, making me feel welcome from the start. The cottage itself is beautiful, amazingly decorated, and incredibly comfortable from top to bottom. I especially loved the lovely kitchen—it has an Aga cooker which is absolutely great to cook on and so easy to use.

The location is also fantastic—it’s peaceful but situated just a short distance from East Linton, which is a wonderful, foodie-friendly village with great local spots. I left feeling completely refreshed. I cannot recommend this lovely cottage enough, and I would absolutely love to stay here again!

Just what I needed

My son and I simply loved this beautiful house and garden. It's so nicely decorated, the huge kitchen is perfect to spend some extra time in it for an extended breakfast, the beds are so comfortable and you only have piece and quiet. The surrounding countryside with North Berwick and the Golf courses is breathtakingly beautiful.
Michael responded immediately when we had any questions. It's the best place we ever spent a holiday and we hope to come back soon!
