Cypress House (Historic Coast Guard property)

Our family had a wonderful time at Mike's. It is one of the more beautiful locations we have stayed -- the home is beautifully furnished, decorated, and laid out. Lots of open space, great for gathering as a full family (including a dog and toddler.) Mix of outdoor and indoor space -- and the location (ocean view, trees all around, private, etc) -- are truly unique. The deck and hot tub were amazing. No matter the time of day, very relaxing and a gorgeous view of the ocean. Nothing like sitting in a hot tub with light fog rolling in! Kitchen is stocked really well, and made cooking for family easy, and large dining table was perfect for gathering. Beds were very comfortable, and bathrooms beautiful and squeaky clean. Host was incredibly responsive when we reached out for any assistance. Lastly, location is great -- we found multiple GREAT bakeries, and got great coffee, and even got to visit the local nature preserve!

Beautiful place and a fabulous location! We went for a family weekend away and found everything we needed. The place was well appointed and spotless, and we were super comfortable. The teenagers liked having their own rooms and nobody had to suffer with a twin bed. All the furniture was comfortable and we had lots of room to spread out on the giant couches in the living room and watch movies. Just a short walk down the hill to the pier and a great coffee shop and decent restaurant. We will definitely want to stay again the next time we're in Point Arena!

Great location. Beautiful views from the deck. Kitchen was well stocked. Furniture was comfortable. Place was very clean. Would definitely recommend staying at Mike's place.

Beautiful views from the deck

Great views and very spacious house (bigger than it looks on the pictures). Any amenities you need and very comfortable beds.

Great views and very spacious house

We spent three days over Christmas 2023 here and couldn't have been happier. The home is spacious and has been freshly renovated and decorated. The kitchen was really well equipped and the beds and linens were hotel-quality. And when we walked in, there was a beautifully decorated Christmas tree awaiting us! There's not a lot to do in Pt. Arena (walk to the pier, hike the gorgeous bluffs, or drive to the historic lighthouse; the town is pretty dead). But if you're looking to get away from it all, the ocean view and stunning landscapes are all you'll need. We literally fell asleep to the sounds of pounding surf.
