Niksen House is located just outside of Mt. Hood National Forest, 20 minutes from ski areas and an hour from Portland. The cabin is in a rural residential community and sits next to a 1/2 acre lot giving it an off-the-grid feel with all of the on-the-grid amenities. Many dining options are located just minutes away and the Sandy River is only a 5 minute walk from the cabin.

Niksen House: Scandanvian style Cabin at Mt. Hood

My wife and I had a great and romantic stay at the cabin. I was pleasantly surprised by the amenities they offered. Bluetooth speaker, lanterns, power bank, board games, books.
I would love to visit again soon.

Romantic stay

Michelle was an all star host and the home was lovely. I plan to rebook next year and the home was fantastic. She nails the little things and makes the experience effortless!

Family stay

Dear reader, since everything encompassed in the five star review has been said, I won't elaborate, we strongly agree!! I would only add what I wrote in the guestbook...we came to find refuge and the sweet life and we found it. Niksen is quiet, gentle and peaceful. Don't change anything...
