MOBY'S FALL RAZOR CLAM + STORM WATCH COASTAL HOME BASE

Welcome to Moby’s Beachhouse

G’day, and welcome to Pacific Beach! Come for a Mocrocks razor clam dig, a fishing weekend, or long summer days with your favorite people. Bring the dogs, too. We hope you’ll make yourselves at home.
Moby’s is our spacious, dog-friendly beach house on the Washington coast. The beach is an easy, flat seven-minute walk away, and Seabrook’s shops and restaurants are about a three-minute drive. You can enjoy Seabrook’s activities, then return to Pacific Beach for easy beach access without steep stairs.
With four bedrooms and room for up to 11 guests, there’s space to cook together, spread out for a game night, and settle in after a day outdoors.

Coming for a Mocrocks razor clam dig?

We love welcoming clamming crews. After your dig at nearby Mocrocks, clean your catch at one of our three indoor stainless steel sinks. Rinse gear and sandy paws outside under our hot and cold outdoor tap. Then warm up by the wood-burning fireplace or slip into the private five-person hot tub.
The kitchen has plenty of counter space for preparing dinner together, and we provide a clam shovel for your beach adventures. Moby’s is also a comfortable home base for fishing trips, beachcombing, and storm watching. When the weather sends everyone inside, the game room is ready.
Planning a dig? Check the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife’s current razor clam schedule and requirements for approved Mocrocks dates before you travel.

Staying for a summer beach vacation?

Pack the towels, take the flat walk to the sand, and let the day unfold. Build sandcastles, try paddleboarding or surfing, and look for sand dollars (please pick up only the bone-dry white ones; the purple, furry ones are alive!). Come home for dinner together, an evening by the backyard fire, and a soak in the hot tub.
We’ve stocked Moby’s with things our own family enjoys on a beach trip, including bikes, beach buckets, toys, books, and a game room for the occasional rainy afternoon.

Your stay and a little about us

Moby’s is a much-loved 1970s house and a work of love. We’re continuing to update it into a welcoming place where families, friends, and dogs can make memories together. It has its quirks, plenty of character, and lots of comfortable space to gather.
The home and fenced yard are exclusively yours during your stay. Neither the owners nor our property manager stay on the property. The separate garage and adjacent cottage are reserved for owner use.
Two well-behaved dogs under 50 pounds are welcome for a $50 pet fee per stay. Please ask us about larger dogs.
We’re Anne and Daniel. Daniel is originally from Australia, and we’ve both always felt happiest near the water. Moby’s is our family sanctuary, and we’re so happy to share it with people making new memories at the beach.
Our offsite property manager and co-host, Melissa, lives locally in Pacific Beach. She previously built and ran a lodge in Alaska, and she brings warmth, care, and a wonderful sense of humor to looking after our guests. She’s nearby if you need a hand, so you can settle in and enjoy your getaway.

Hot tub guidelines

We want everyone to enjoy the hot tub safely and help us keep it fresh for the next guests.
• Keep glass and food out of the hot tub area. • Shower before getting in. Sunscreen and lotion can clog the filter. A $150 charge applies if excessive cleaning requires the tub to be drained and refilled. • Supervise children at all times. • Please drink responsibly and keep alcohol consumption limited while using the hot tub. • Leave the temperature setting as it is and do not jump or dive in. • Keep voices low, especially after 10 PM, out of respect for our neighbors. Moby’s welcomes family and friend gatherings, but parties are not permitted. • Replace the cover when you’re done to keep the heat in and debris out.
First aid supplies are in the downstairs bathroom, and emergency contact information is in the guest book. If you have a question about the hot tub or need help during your stay, Melissa is nearby.
We hope you have a wonderful time at Moby’s!
