WELCOME to our cottage located in Cutler Maine!
Perched at the end of a private road, this restored 1760's captain's cottage offers seclusion and luxury with an ode to Maines' dramatic coastline. Featured on Discovery Plus - Magnolia network - Point of View a Designer Profile. Season 2 episode 5. Coasters' Chance has been in the Moore family for over 30 years, and has finally returned to its former glory with a modern twist. A recently renovated barn transforms this captain's cottage into an entertaining paradise. Positioned on its own peninsula overlooking Cutler harbor, Coasters Chance offers more than just a getaway. With private access to Bold Coast hiking trails, 190 degrees of waterfront and complimentary fresh lobsters delivered by the locals themselves, we promise you'll leave your heart in Maine.
190 degree water views, secluded location, private access to hiking trails, gourmet kitchen, complimentary fresh lobsters for one night, close to Puffin Tours and Whale Watching.
NOTES: The cottage sleeps 8 comfortably—with 3 bedrooms. One with a King suite, one with a Queen suite. The kids room upstairs is located off the original 1700's staircase. She is very steep so we recommend only kids & young adults stay up there. This room has two single beds & 1 double bed, each separated from one another with a bathroom. All bedrooms are incredibly well-appointed.
The large barn conversion & main bedroom upstairs are not winterized. We suggest from Oct 1st onwards that the house only sleeps 6 unless the weather is fabulous.

Pets must be approved by Moore House prior to booking and require acknowledgment of our pet policy and payment of our pet fee.

Coasters' Chance - The Maine Cottage

This was the perfect place for our 2 families with young kids. From the moment we arrived, we were awed by the architecture and design (as 4 of us are architects!), and then equally inspired by the livability of the home - it was incredibly comfortable and also an elevated experience. Considering that the home was a converted barn, we were amazed by the lack of dust anywhere, it was impeccably clean! The hiking trails around the house were a surprise treat to explore, and the complimentary lobster dinner was a fantastic touch of local hospitality.

An Incredible Experience

We loved it!! All the touches. Located in the town of cutler on the coast, beautiful views. The kitchen was so lovely to cook in. We hiked and slowed down in life. It was exactly what we were looking for. My young boys loved all of the nature hikes nearby. We caught our own lobster with a local and cooked it that evening. What a true authentic experience!

The perfect escape!

This house is amazing and we absolutely loved our stay at this magical place. The design is right out of a magazine, the kitchen was perfectly equipped for a group of avid cooks, beds/pillows/linens luxurious, and the setting was beyond beautiful. The original house we had rented in Eastport ended up having no water so this was a last minute booking and we were SO HAPPY that our other place did not work out. Our family of 9 trying to figure out how to get back next year. Although we are hoping there are now screens to keep the mosquitos at bay! That would be the one thing to have made it a PERFECT stay (we had to close up the house once it was dusk to keep Maine mosquitos out and since no screens on windows or doors it got quite stuffy/warm).

Beautiful, magical place!

This property is truly magical. Everything exceeded our expectations. The pictures do not do it justice - it’s even more beautiful in person!. The design of the home is exquisite and it had everything we needed for our three day stay. Plus you can walk out of the back door to a spectacular hike and experience Maine’s bold coast and all its drama.
