Blanche’s Boudoir: A Little Sass, a Lot of Seaside

Welcome to Blanche’s Boudoir, a playful Fort Morgan tiny home with plenty of personality and access to a whole lot of beach.

Inspired by the charm, confidence and unmistakable sass of Blanche Devereaux from The Golden Girls, this colorful coastal cottage is designed for couples, solo travelers and small families who want something more memorable than an ordinary beach rental.

Perched high on a dune near the western end of the Fort Morgan Peninsula, Blanche’s Boudoir sits beside Shady Pines on a rare eight-acre Gulf-front property. Follow the winding nature trail through the coastal landscape toward a quieter stretch of beach, then return to a comfortable little cottage filled with character.

Blanche would never settle for boring—and neither should your beach vacation.

A Fort Morgan Tiny Home for Up to Three Guests

Blanche’s Boudoir is a one-bedroom, one-bath tiny home accommodating up to three guests.

Sleeping arrangements include:

Queen loft bed

Convertible sleeper

The queen loft creates a cozy sleeping retreat, while the convertible sleeper provides additional accommodations for a third guest or small family.

Because the primary bed is located in a loft, guests with limited mobility should consider the layout before booking. Like Blanche herself, the cottage is best enjoyed by those comfortable with a little adventure.

Small Space, Big Personality

Blanche’s Boudoir proves that a vacation rental does not need to be large to make an impression.

The interior blends coastal comfort with a lively, feminine personality inspired by one of television’s most unforgettable Southern characters. Every inch is used thoughtfully, giving guests the essentials for a comfortable stay without losing the playful spirit behind the name.

The private living area provides space to relax after the beach, watch television or plan the next day’s Fort Morgan adventure. Air conditioning, heating and portable fans help keep the cottage comfortable throughout the seasons.

Kitchen Facilities

The cottage includes a well-equipped kitchen and kitchenette area for preparing breakfast, snacks and relaxed meals at home.

Kitchen amenities include:

Refrigerator

Mini refrigerator

Stovetop

Countertop oven

Microwave

Dishwasher

Coffee maker

Toaster

Cooking utensils

Dishes and silverware

Baking tray

Hot-water kettle

Wine glasses

Cooking basics

Barbecue utensils

Prepare coffee before walking to the beach, assemble a quick lunch or enjoy a quiet dinner without driving into town.

Commercial Ice Maker

Beach days require plenty of ice, and Blanche’s Boudoir includes a commercial ice maker to help guests prepare coolers and cold drinks.

Whether you are packing beverages for the beach, keeping the day’s catch cold or mixing something worthy of Blanche herself, this convenient feature can save repeated trips to purchase bags of ice.

Guests should follow the property instructions for operating and caring for the ice maker.

Follow the Nature Trail Toward the Beach

One of the cottage’s most memorable features is access to the winding nature trail leading toward the Gulf.

The trail crosses the property’s natural coastal landscape, passing through grassland and dune surroundings before reaching the beach. The walk is part of the experience and provides opportunities to see shorebirds and other coastal wildlife.

The beaches near the western end of Fort Morgan generally feel quieter and less developed than the shoreline around central Gulf Shores. Spend the day swimming, walking, shell hunting, surf fishing or simply listening to the waves.

Guests should remain on the established path to protect dunes and native vegetation. Natural trail and beach conditions can change with tides, weather and the seasons.

Beach Chairs and Carts

Blanche’s Boudoir provides beach chairs and carts for guest use on a first-come, first-served basis.

Availability is not guaranteed, so guests with specific equipment needs may wish to bring their preferred chairs, umbrellas or beach wagon.

Before entering the Gulf, always check the daily beach warning flags. Water conditions can change quickly, even when the weather appears calm.

Outdoor Living

The cottage includes outdoor space where guests can enjoy the coastal atmosphere before or after a day at the beach.

Outdoor amenities include:

Outdoor furniture

Patio or balcony

Private garden area

Beach essentials

Charcoal grill

Electric grill

Outdoor shower

Access to shared outdoor areas

Use the outdoor shower to rinse away sand, enjoy morning coffee in the fresh air or prepare a casual dinner on the grill.

Outdoor Shower

The outdoor shower makes it easy to rinse off sand and salt after returning from the beach.

Guests should use it before entering the cottage whenever practical. In a tiny home, keeping excess sand outdoors makes the interior much more comfortable throughout the stay.

Starlink Wi-Fi

Blanche’s Boudoir includes Starlink Wi-Fi, allowing guests to stay connected from this quieter end of the Fort Morgan Peninsula.

Use the connection to stream entertainment, check the weather, plan activities or handle a little remote work. As with internet service in any coastal environment, speeds and availability may occasionally be affected by weather or technical conditions.

Pet-Friendly Fort Morgan Cottage

Blanche’s Boudoir welcomes pets, so approved four-legged companions can join your seaside getaway.

Guests traveling with pets should:

Follow all property rules

Supervise pets outdoors

Clean up after them

Protect furniture and bedding

Keep food properly secured

Confirm pet rules at beaches and attractions

Avoid allowing pets to disturb wildlife

Pet access varies throughout Fort Morgan. Dogs are not permitted on trails within Bon Secour National Wildlife Refuge, so review current rules before planning your activities.

Convenient to Fort Morgan Attractions

Blanche’s Boudoir feels removed from the crowds while remaining near several of the peninsula’s most memorable experiences.

Nearby attractions include:

Historic Fort Morgan

Mobile Bay Ferry

Fort Morgan Marina

Tacky Jacks Fort Morgan

Bon Secour National Wildlife Refuge

Kiva Dunes

Fishing charters

Surf fishing

Mobile Bay

Dauphin Island day trips

Fort Morgan restaurants and small markets

Central Gulf Shores provides additional restaurants, supermarkets, shopping and family attractions. Driving time varies with traffic and the season, so purchase groceries before traveling to the end of the peninsula when possible.

Perfect for Couples

Blanche’s Boudoir is particularly well suited for couples wanting a private and memorable alternative to a high-rise condominium or oversized beach house.

Spend the morning walking along the Gulf, explore Historic Fort Morgan in the afternoon and return for a relaxed dinner at the cottage. The tiny-home layout encourages guests to spend less time managing a large rental and more time enjoying the beach.

It is also a fun choice for anniversaries, birthday trips, spontaneous coastal weekends or anyone who appreciates a vacation home with a sense of humor.

A Cozy Option for Small Families

The convertible sleeper allows Blanche’s Boudoir to accommodate a small family of up to three guests.

Families should consider the compact layout and loft sleeping arrangement when deciding whether the cottage fits their needs. Children must be supervised on the loft, trail, dune areas and beach.

The cottage offers a simple home base for families who expect to spend most of their days exploring Fort Morgan and enjoying the Gulf.
