 Matkandaa is located in a quiet, remote Himachali village, far from the hustle and bustle of Shimla city. The nearest market is 10 km away in Shoghi. If you're looking for nightlife, shopping, or fast-paced city experiences, this may not be the right fit. Also, please note that the last 80 meters of the road is unpaved but easy to drive on. Car is parked 2 minutes away from Matkandaa.
 Welcome to Matkandaa — a handcrafted mud house built with love, tradition, and care. Surrounded by mountains and silence, it’s ideal for couples, solo travelers, artists, writers, and anyone looking to unplug and reconnect with nature.

🌿 For Nature Lovers & Hikers: We’d be happy to guide you to beautiful, lesser-known spots nearby. The famous Tara Devi Temple, perched atop the mountain, is accessible both by road and a scenic hiking trail — a great experience for those who enjoy the outdoors.
🚗 Getting Around:
<ul><li>Shimla city is just 23 km away and can be easily visited for a day trip. There’s ample parking in the city if you're coming in your personal vehicle.</li></ul>

For a local travel experience, you can take the bus that runs between Village Kot and Shoghi 3 times a day (except Sundays, when it runs only in the morning). It's a budget-friendly and charming way to travel.
