Sunset View Penthouse | Dramatic Two-Story Loft in Boyne City

Gather, relax, and spread out in Sunset View Penthouse, a dramatic two-story loft designed for spending time together. Soaring ceilings, oversized windows, original schoolhouse brick, and an open upper loft give the space a character you simply don't get in a typical condo or hotel.
At the heart of the penthouse is the open-concept kitchen and living area, where an oversized island seats six and a cozy gas fireplace creates the perfect place to gather after a day exploring Northern Michigan. The fully equipped kitchen features granite countertops, full-size stainless steel appliances, generous counter space, and island seating for six.
Doors off the kitchen lead directly to your private balcony—a comfortable spot for morning coffee, outdoor dining, or relaxing at the end of the day, with seasonal views toward Lake Charlevoix.
Designed for up to six guests, Sunset View features two private bedrooms, each with its own ensuite bathroom, plus an open loft sleeping area with a queen sleeper sofa and a third full bathroom. The spacious king bedroom also includes its own sitting area, giving you another comfortable place to relax away from the main living space.
Heated floors, central air, in-unit laundry, high-speed Wi-Fi, and the gas fireplace provide modern comfort in every season. Original restored brick, oversized windows, soaring ceilings, and architectural details preserve the character of the 100-year-old Boyne Schoolhouse.
Guests also enjoy a reserved parking space and private ski and beach storage locker, plus access to the shared outdoor firepit and gas grill.
Best of all, you can leave the car behind and walk to downtown Boyne City, Lake Charlevoix, the marina, restaurants, breweries, coffee shops, boutiques, and waterfront parks. Boyne Mountain Resort, golf courses, wineries, beaches, and popular Northern Michigan wedding venues are just a short drive away.
Whether you're planning a family vacation, couples' getaway, wedding weekend, golf trip, or ski vacation, Sunset View gives everyone room to stay comfortably—with a beautiful central space to come together.

Sunset View Penthouse Loft

We had a lovely stay at the Schoolhouse Lofts #5! A gorgeous 2 bedroom with queen beds, loft area and plenty of space, including an enormous kitchen. We went skiing and had an assigned locked ski closet to store our equipment. Other days we just hung out by the fireplace and watched movies. Our teen loved having her own space including full bathroom. We were even able to do a load of laundry and come home with clean clothes in our suitcases. Plenty of shopping in Boyne City, Petoskey, and Harbor Springs, although not everything was open this time of year. Lots of places to eat, but we cooked at the loft most of the time. Our teen also had fun at Avalanche Bay. We would love to visit again!

Great Stay at the Sunset View Loft #5
