Lasserre de l'Ougal - 3★ Meublé de Tourisme - Sireuil Suite

A stunning manor/castle in beautiful, picturesque surroundings with a stunning swimming pool. You have to see this place to appreciate it. As good as the pictures are, when you get there it blows you away. Topped off by two lovely hosts, Mark and Honey who were friendly and very helpful. We would highly recommend and will definitely be back. Thankyou both.

When you get there it blows you away

Absolutely stunning castle at the top of a beautiful rural valley, surrounded by nature, wildlife and peace. Looks exactly like the pictures, with the highest standard of hosting and renovation of the castle. It has everything you could possibly want, is comfortable and well located for exploring the Dordogne. The hosts were always available and quick to respond as well as ultra friendly, but did not intrude. Swimming pool was lovely and clean with a view which was unbeatable. Parking is outside the property down a short gravel driveway from the road. Nip, Tuck (dogs) and Fudge and Lola (cats) were present but only come to say hi if you beckon them. Even on ultra hot days (37 degrees) the property remained cool. Couldn't fault it and if we came back to the Dordogne, would stay here again. Will also stay in touch with Mark and Honey who were welcoming, kind and ultra helpful with recommendations of what to see and where to eat. A perfect example of what an airbnb stay should be.

Absolutely stunning castle

A beautiful, quiet place in an exceptional setting

We absolutely loved our stay at Honey and Mark’s beautiful little “castle.” We felt very privileged to be their first guests in their wonderfully renovated home, with its breathtaking views. The house has everything you could wish for, the rooms are beautiful, and our children enjoyed the huge swimming pool with us. In the morning and evening, you can even see deer wandering around and you are just a short drive away from Les Eyzies and Montignac. Honey and Mark are incredibly warm and welcoming and it was a real pleasure to spend eight days here.

Amazing experience thanks to Mark & Honey.
Probably the best Airbnb experience we had. The manoir is beautiful, the view is breathtaking and Mark &Honey, thanks to their taste and attitude manage to create the perfect spot for resting, relaxing, and enjoying the great Dordogne area.
