The Harpy Houseboat

If you have the chance to stay at the Harpy, grab it! Truly a one of a kind experience. The houseboat is beautifully appointed and had plenty of bedrooms, bathrooms, living space and deck space to comfortably fit our group of nine people. The location is perfect for those wanting to explore London. Andrew communicated with us several times before and during our stay to make sure everything was perfect. We all loved the experience. I'd recommend booking directly through the website for the best pricing.

One of a Kind

Words really cannot express the delight and enjoyment we experienced in our week on The Harpy. It’s a lovely boat with not only all the necessities you can think of, but also walls filled with art and shelves stacked with books, not to mention decorative objects on both the upper and lower decks from past and present. Everything is beautiful, interesting and quirky.

The view is gorgeous and the surroundings are pleasant. There are numerous shops and restaurants nearby. We felt safe and secure throughout our stay.

Not only is there a Delonghi coffee machine ensuring delicious fresh-roasted coffee, but the kitchen is fully stocked with many appliances and an abundance of cookware and crockery.

The bedding is absolutely luxurious with high quality sheets pressed to a crisp coolness. The towels are thick and plentiful. Each of the bathrooms (two full and one half) has a spacious ledge above the sink for toiletries.

There is plenty of lighting, with comfortable chairs and sofas inside. We spent a lot of time out on the upper deck, at the table and chairs, relaxing and enjoying our coffee or wine.

We soon began to look forward to the tide ebbing and flowing throughout each day (and night), gently rocking the boat. We all slept very well, always important on a holiday trip.

I highly recommend this unique home! (I’m actually surprised the owner is willing to share it. 😊) There is a detailed manual, with many photos, to answer every possible question, so, even though the owner responds quickly if you contact him, the answer you need is probably already addressed in the manual.

I’m sure we will visit again!

Wonderful Stay

Oh, what an amazing experience — beyond all expectations. We’ve had four fantastic days on this well-equipped and beautifully designed boat. We will definitely be back and will recommend Harpy to everyone.

Sensational experience, can’t wait to do it all again in Summer!

Amazing

We have had the most wonderful time celebrating a big birthday for my son . The Harpy is perfect for families in a wonderful position with exceptional views. Always something interesting to see on the river, lovely to sit on deck with a glass of wine and watch London light up .Jan the housekeeper was extremely helpful even posting something I left behind. Super comfy beds and the boat is very cosy. Superb position with so much to explore close by. I highly recommend it for something completely different.
