WOW - WHAT A CAMP

For the fisherman where do we start. Enormous pier right out back with fishing green lights that light up the entire water for night fishing. For those that want to bring a boat, two large boat lifts that will accommodate up to 26' long fishing boats. If you want to leave your boat at home and hire a guide, we have some of the best guides on speed dial. They will pick you up right out front off the pier. Crabbin anyone? You can crab right there off your backyard.

CRABBIN CABIN ON THE WATER

Great time. Place was perfect and had everything we needed plenty of beds to sleep a large group. Right on the main channel with two boat lifts, which really makes getting in and out convenient. The cabin was in great condition could not have had a better time could not have stayed at a better place.

Fishing

Spent a wonderful week at the Crabbin Cabin. The facility is spacious and has all the conveniences. The night fishing and crabbing off the dock was bountiful. We caught our limit of trout almost every night. We also fished on the lake and were successful bringing in red fish, trout, flounder and blue crabs. All-in-all, the fishing was lagniappe to the quality family time spent. We look forward to spending more time there in the future. Bruce Honore was a great host. Thanks Bruce!

Mr and Mrs

Crabbin Cabbin is a great place to host a group. I've been to Hackberry a couple of times to go fishing with a guide and loved it! So it came time to plan my friend's bachelor party and he wanted to go fishing and this place fit all of our needs. If you choose a guide out of Hackberry they will pick you up right on the doc, super easy! The owner and staff are very kind people, easy to work with and straightforward. The Crabbin Cabbin is about 30 minutes from Lake Charles and the casinos, overall a great location. We ended up catching a lot of fish and frying them up. There is plenty of room for activities such as washers and corn hole. Since the house is located on the ship channel, every now then you can watch the big tanker ships roll on by, truly a one of kind experience. Again, a big thank you to Bruce and his staff for providing us with a 5 star experience, we will be booking this place again in the future. Plan a trip, you will not be disappointed!

Bachelor Trip

Crabbin Cabin is amazing and great for entertaining!! Bruce and his team are so attentive and will go above and beyond for you. His hospitality is top notch!! This is our 2nd year renting all 6 camps that Pogie Camp Rentals has available in Hackberry. We bring about 30-40 people and have our work retreat at the camps. It's centrally located for people coming from Baton Rouge and Houston and it's a great place for all of us to meet in the middle. All the camps are decorated beautifully and the kitchens are fully stocked and there is plenty of room to accommodate everyone. The camp views are gorgeous and it's so peaceful to sit out on the water and watch the big ship come into port at Cameron LNG. If you want to fish, Bruce can hook you up with the best fishing guides. If you want boiled seafood and don't want to boil it yourself, he has a guy that will come boil it for you. If you don't want to cook while at the camps, Bruce also has lady that will come cater/cook for you while you are there. Pogie Camp Rentals offers it all. Do yourself a favor and book your next work retreat or family reunion at Pogie Camp Rentals. Believe me, you won't be disappointed!!
