Butternut House

10/10
Posted Sep 13, 2026House was clean well furnished with everything except coffee creamers, until I found 4 hidden in door of refrigerator. lol. I slept downstairs cause my knee didn’t like the stairs and my husband slept upstairs cause he wanted a king size bed. But other than that the house was great!Oh no A/C just window units, I didn’t mind cause I’m always cold. Haha

Posted Aug 31, 2026Butternut House is an unbeatable choice for a visit to Three Oaks. We stayed 3 nights, along with our 3 adult children, our son and daughter-in-law. The appreciative comments were a constant, no exaggeration! We all noted the thoughtful attention to even the smallest details. It made our stay so easy and comfortable. Kudos to Jim and Amber! IN all my travels, I’ve never stayed in a VRBO or Airbnb this generously equipped. We arrived to bottled water, snacks, and a well-outfitted coffee station (critical!), Bedrooms offer very comfortable beds, extra pillows, blankets, closet space. The 2 King and 2 Queen beds were just what we needed after our busy days. And all this in an immaculate space. We hung out in the 2 living spaces, the game room and the peaceful green of the back yard. The walk from our quiet neighborhood into downtown Three Oaks took only a few minutes. You can’t beat the location. Jim and Amer were excellent communicators, and always helpful and accommodating. I can’t compliment them enough on creating such a welcoming and comfortable destination. It takes a special eye to anticipate all the needs of travelers; they’ve hit the bullseye! Thank you, we shall be back!

Unbeatable choice for Three Oaks stay

We had a wonderful stay! The house was very nice and thoughtfully stocked with so many extras. We loved the welcoming touches like the fresh banana bread from the local bakery, ground coffee and coffee beans from the local coffee shop, games and puzzles, and all the fun yard games available in the garage. The bedrooms were great — the beds were comfortable, there were plenty of extra blankets and pillows, and lots of towels available. We especially appreciated that each bedroom had a fan and a window unit, which made it easy to keep the rooms cool and comfortable. The location was also perfect, just a short distance from downtown with easy access to restaurants and shops. Overall, it was a great place to stay, and we would happily stay here again!Your public replyThank you for the 5 star review and your kind description of your stay. We hope to have the chance to host you again.

We had a wonderful stay and enjoyed this hike very much.

Wonderful stay

Place was great and had all the amenities for a week long stay. Blackstone worked great, washer and dryer were very useful, and the outdoor space was very relaxing. Location is great; can walk to all the great places in Three oaks and less than 15 minutes to the beach.

Place was great
