A Riverside Gîte with Heart and History
Welcome to Quai du Val, our beautifully restored riverside gîte in Léhon, near Dinan, in Brittany, once a historic boat store on the banks of the river Rance, now a warm and inviting holiday home. Blending authentic Breton character with modern comfort, it’s the perfect place to slow down, reconnect and savour the charm of France’s Côtes d’Armor.
Where Heritage Meets Comfort
Step inside and you’ll find bright, open spaces filled with natural light and peaceful river views. Quai du Val enjoys sunshine all day long, with two terraces designed for relaxation at any hour.
The private garden terrace, accessed from the kitchen, is perfect for al fresco breakfasts in the morning sun. With comfortable seating for seven, it’s a tranquil spot to start your day surrounded by birdsong and river breezes. As the day progresses, the sun moves to the front terrace, where you can unwind with a book or a glass of wine as the light dances on the river Rance. Inside, the dining conservatory catches the soft glow of the evening sun, creating a warm, inviting space for leisurely dinners and conversation.
Every detail from the exposed beams to the thoughtfully equipped kitchen, is designed for easy living and relaxation.
Proudly certified by the Dinan Tourism Office and awarded a 3-star Meublé de Tourisme classification by Atout France, Quai du Val guarantees quality and comfort for families, couples, or friends seeking a truly Breton escape.
The Charm of Léhon
Our village, Léhon, is officially listed as a Petite Cité de Caractère and it’s easy to see why. Just a short riverside walk to medieval Dinan, Léhon enchants with cobbled lanes, stone cottages and the peaceful rhythm of life along the Rance. Wander to the Abbey Saint-Magloire, enjoy a coffee at Café Gloutons, or stroll by the castle ruins for panoramic views. Everything you need for a gentle, local experience is just minutes from your door.
The Quai du Val Experience
Whether you’re enjoying riverside breakfasts, family dinners on the terrace, or evening stargazing under Brittany’s dark skies, Quai du Val invites you to slow down and savour every moment. With room for up to seven guests, it’s a family-friendly holiday home near Dinan that feels both timeless and deeply personal, a place to create memories that linger long after your stay.

Quai du Val

This is our second time here. We came in December last year and as soon as we arrived home we booked again. And we’ll be doing the same again once we get our holiday allowance back! We had a different type of getaway this time. We got a feel for Dinan more this time and really enjoyed a more relaxed break as it was just the two of us this time. We came for the Xmas markets last year so this time it was more chilled and just what we needed. We visited more chateaus and restaurants and went to the beach with our dog in St Malo and she loved it. The weather was lovely with the odd day of rain but with QDV being the home from home we wanted we enjoyed staying in and cooking just as much as eating out. It has everything you need to relax, chill and enjoy your break. As always the home is spotless and we can’t fault anything about the place. We love it here and look forward to returning every time. Thanks the Michelle & Graeme for a warm welcome. You won’t be disappointed and couldn’t recommend enough. 6* from us 🤗

Best holiday getaway ever!

Thank you Michelle and Graeme for being such wonderful hosts! Your house provided an ideal location in a country area just outside Dinan with a picturesque outlook over the canal into the green countryside. An easy walk along the canal took us directly to the fisherman’s wharf in Dinan. After a delicious lunch we walked up the hill into the historic centre of town. The accommodation was extremely comfortable and had everything we needed and more. A truly excellent property. Thank you for our generous welcome basket and for your ideas and recommendations for our time at Quai du Val.

An Excellent Stay

We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful holiday home on the banks of the Rance. The house is charming, very comfortable, and perfectly located to enjoy the peaceful surroundings and the beauty of the river. Everything was lovely, and we felt at home from the very first moment. A perfect place to relax, unwind, and explore the charming region of Brittany. We would absolutely love to come back and highly recommend this place.

Lovely Gité in a wonderful location

What a fantastic time we’ve all had at this beautiful gite. It’s the perfect location for exploring this wonderful area of Brittany either by foot or by car. Lehon is a really pretty and tranquil village and a great place for star gazing too. Michelle and Graeme are fabulous hosts with lots of great suggestions for trips and visits. The gite itself is super homely and comfortable with lots of space to move around. It’s very well equipped with everything you could possibly need during your stay. Super safe too- our 1 year old grandson enjoyed exploring the 2 outside patio areas and particularly liked waving at the boats that passed by on the Rance. We will definitely return! Thanks Michelle and Graeme 😊

Fab! Fab! Fab!

Fabulous stay, the house was perfect for the 4 of us, situated in a great village with a lovely riverside walk to the Port of Dinan. Thanks you from us all!
