Conveniently located steps from the beach access at Tyson Park, also only a few blocks from downtown, you could go your whole stay here without ever getting in a car! The house features an enclosed patio perfect for BBQ-ing and soaking in the sea breeze. Frontside windows capture the sunlight and ocean air keeping the house cool and well-lit. Two bedrooms plus living room futon sleep 8. We have everything you need to make your beach days fun! Perfect spot for beach lovers who also want easy walking access to town with restaurants, movie theater, bars, shopping, coffee shops, etc. House has a keypad code access, making check-in and check-out simple. Our property manager Pete lives close by (and so do we), so there's just about always someone on-call if any issues arise. Otherwise, we'll stay out of your hair! Oceanside is an eclectic beach community. We have all the perks of a downtown area, but we are far-less populated than a busy city, so you get the best of both worlds. The pier and strand are a hubbub of tourists and locals, so it's a diverse place that caters to a lot of different interests. Beach, shops, movies, eateries--whatever your interests, our location is within walking distance to them all. We offer off-street parking for two cars. We are just around the corner from the train station where you can hop on a train to LA, downtown, or anything in between. You might hear some noise from the train, but since we are close to a stop rather than a crossing, trains do not lay on the horn close to the house.

"Seafoam House" just steps to Surf Beach, Downtown

My family and I had a wonderful stay at Rachel’s place. The beach was a 1 minute walk which was very convenient. There was a lot of shops, restaurants, stores within walking distance, we hardly had to use our vehicles. The space was clean and roomy, we didn’t feel cramped in the home. The outdoor area was a nice place to hangout, however the large outdoor table in the pictures was not there, which would have been a nice addition for even more space. Rachel and the property manager were very responsive to any inquires and check in was easy. I would absolutely stay here again as well as recommend to any friends and family looking for a lovely beach vacation getaway!

lovely beach family getaway

Great stay ! You could hear the waves while outside. Everything was a quick 5 min walk. Will definitely be back.

So close to the ocean

Absolutely loved staying at Rachel’s place!! It was just as described :) Both Rachel and her property manager were very friendly and responsive. We would definitely stay again when we are in the area!!

Absolutely loved our stay!

Had a great time, the kids loved it and so did we! Clean and cozy house with everything we needed. The beach chairs, wagon, and boogie board were great to be able to use. Dedicated parking was a big plus as well. Wish the stairs to access the beach by the house weren’t under construction but the hosts have no control over that. The patio was amazing, the rooms were spacious, the kitchen had everything we needed, and the beds were very comfortable! Thank you Rachel for allowing us to stay. Pete was great as well, we really appreciated the wine and his quick responses and help! We will definitely stay here again next time we are in Oceanside 😃

Clean and Cozy House by the Beach

Rachel was very responsive when booking the rental. After completing the booking Pete, the property manager communicated with us straight away and even offered us a choice of wines to have available upon our socal. He was such an accommodating host during our stay! To say he turned our trip around would be an understatement. Our first leg of the flight was cancelled and the airline broke our stroller. Pete swooped in, dropped off a wagon full of beach toys, chalk, balls, and an umbrella stroller for us to use during our stay.
The rental was within a short walk to near restaurants, bars, bakeries, breweries, and ice cream parlors. Walmart was a short drive away. The option to have public transportation close by was another benefit. Our 2 year old couldn't get enough of taking the train to nearby Carlesbad. The unit itself was amenable, providing everything from spices, soaps, laundry detergent for the in-unit washer, plenty of towels, beach towels, Tupperware, and plenty of sundries
