Located due south of Cahal Pech Archeological Reserve and just minutes from downtown, Lost Compass Cabanas is ideally situated for those travelers torn between being amidst the culture and cuisine of the city or the nature and tranquility of the surrounding jungle. Constructed entirely of Belizean hardwoods, the Toucan Cabana features a screened-in porch, Queen-size bed, full kitchen, and full bathroom - plus free Wifi and A/C! All furnishings and shelving have been locally designed and made specifically for the cabana!
The property includes: the cabana area, which is fenced in and landscaped with a variety of flowering plants; the pool area, which features the inground pool, patio area, and lounge chairs (rafts provided); a bird-watching area, which is down a short trail and faces the reserve (binoculars and bird identification pamphlet provided); and, a smoking/assembly area, which is under a Gumbo Limbo tree surrounded by benches.
We live next door so we'd be happy to sit down with you (maybe over a cold Belikin?) to help out with recommendations or answer any questions you may have - or we can give you space to explore on your own (and drink cold Belikin by ourselves). It's totally up to you!

Toucan at Lost Compass Cabanas

Huge thanks to Adam and Rebecca for such a lovely visit. They were really helpful and were often able to give us a ride into town when they were going out. This was a huge bonus as we didn't have a car.
The accomodation is great, beautifully designed, really comfy and well equipped. We'd love to visit again.

Wonderful relaxing stay

Just outside of busy San Ignacio, the quiet neighborhood location of Lost Compass Cabanas worked perfectly for us, even without a car. Taxis were easy to call and cost 15BZD each way, very affordable. But what makes staying here so special is the attention paid to your needs by host-couple Adam and Rebecca. They provided us with really great info, all of their contacts were solid, offered us lifts whenever they were headed into town, and more. Our sweet cabana was rustic yet spotless, a kitchen we easily cooked and baked in, and a small sparkling pool we could enjoy on hot days. Great base for touring or relaxing, hanging out on the porch and bird watching.

Best Place for Touring and Relaxing

We enjoyed our short stay at Lost Compass Cabanas. The Toucan cabin had everything we needed for a comfortable stay and Rebecca & Adam were wonderful hosts! We look forward to visiting Belize again and getting to spend more time in San Ignacio.

Looking forward to our next visit

Wife and I decided to visit Belize for the first time. Half in San Ignacio and the other half of the trip in Caye Caulker. Adam and Rebecca were great host. The stay was great. The sound of nature was amazing. My wife is a light sleeper but slept like a baby. Always felt safe. Bought some cool merch from Adam before we headed out to CC. In the back of my mind I kinda wish we spent more time there. That's how cool of an experience San Ignacio and Lost Compass is.

The Best

Our cabana was absolutely great - spacious, well stocked, well designed. Adam and Rebecca were great hosts, very responsive to all questions. Highly recommend you book here.
