Since 1906, the Red Hemlock has sat perched above the hamlet of Arkville, in the shadow of Dry Brook Ridge. Less than two miles from Margaretville, 11 minutes from Belleayre Ski Mountain, and walkable to Arkville, it offers the unique combination of privacy and convenience. Built in 1906 by master carpenters, the property recently underwent a full renovation to bring in all modern conveniences, without compromising the historic craftsman charm.

The Red Hemlock House And Barn

The pictures honestly don't do this place justice. The home itself feels historical and peaceful in a way that is hard to convey in pictures. Along with the added bonus of being family friendly which was crucial traveling with 4 young kids. We had an amazing time and can only hope to visit again!

Historic, Peaceful, and Family Friendly

Red Hemlock was fantastic! My kids loved the air hockey table and karaoke machine in the basement. Their bedroom was fantastic with art supplies and a whole chalk wall. there was a full kitchen and great appliances. I was able to cook for 9 people easily. a nice propane gas grill, huge outdoor fire pit. Large tables outside and a dining room that seated 12 easily. Awesome place!!

Room for Nine, Fun for All

I cannot say enough about the Red Hemlock house! What a beautiful home that we enjoyed for a long weekend. The hosts were so gracious and allowed us to have an early check-in/late check out. If you could imagine, the house was even nicer than pictured in the listing. It was decorated and organized perfectly. Everything was labeled and easy to figure out. The bedding and towels were amazing! Most importantly, the kids were obsessed with the entire house from the bedroom they stayed to the basement and even the outdoor play house. We were able to light a fire in the living room and backyard. The long dining room table was a great place for all meals. The house was located super close to the mountain which was a huge plus. We will definitely be back & recommend to others! Thanks for a great stay.

Even Better Than the Listing

We could not have asked for a better stay. Jennifer's property was exactly as listed and then some. So much thought and care was put into each room. The kitchen had everything we could need for every meal. Bathrooms were clean and well stocked. Bedrooms were very clean and comfortable. The kids bunk room was adorable and the kids loved the chalk wall! The house was conveniently located to Belleayre and the local super market. Jennifer was quick to respond to all inquiries. We can't wait for our next stay!

Thoughtful, Clean & Perfectly Located

Another great stay at Red Hemlock House! Fantastic and responsive host. Will definitely be back again.
