Family Friendly, Pet Friendly, Lake Access, Private

My mind keeps going back to the past week! My friends and family members know places I have fished. And I wonder if I'll ever fish another place as special as Reedy Mill Pond? It was a gift from my beautiful wife and probably the best I have received. She saw the article last year in Woods & Waters Magazine and decided we would try it. It was as the article described! I would say better! As most of you know we fish all over creation but this place tops them all!
I have nothing to gain from this post just sharing my experience! And the beautiful and extremely clean mill house was so comfortable. They have a boat if you don't want to use yours. There is plenty to do for everyone. If you have someone or yourself that would like to catch a fish of a lifetime this is it! Of course remember it's fishing! We will go back!

Birthday Stay

Brief 2-night stay with my son to do some fishing as a new boater. We caught a lot of bass, pickerel, and a couple bowfin. The house is immaculate and well organized, with a beautiful landscape. We hope to come back again soon!

Fishing Trip

Reedy Mill Pond was a beautiful trip. The craftmanship was amazing throughout the entire property. Great fishery well maintained. If you have fish-titus with the itch to fish go there you’ll catch a ton of Bass defiantly (Hogs)Bowfin and chain-pickerel. While you’re fishing your family can enjoy the Beach Volleyball set up across the street along with pickle ball which was new to all of us. If you’re rusty you might need a nap after that (the beds are nice and comfy if so). We had the chance to have a Breezy evening on the patio with the waterfall as background noise. My daughter and her friends enjoyed paddle boarding and a boat ride as well. We will return soon.

A Fishermans Resort

Our weekend at Reedy Mill Pond exceeded expectations. A few friends and I wanted to get away from RVA for a fishing and poker weekend. The accomodations were excellent, the landscape and hardscape exceptional, and the fishing was fantastic. The Parkers property is maticulously maintained and beautiful. I particularly enjoyed having many places to sit and enjoy the views, from the side patio, to the back porch, to the many locations along the pond. We cooked both nights and the kitchen has everything you might need and more. The Grill worked well too. Mike hooked us up with trolling moters and we fished the full pond, enjoying the peaceful setting and landing four species of fish. The house has ample room downstairs to spread out, the dinning room table is very large, and the great room has a nice game table. The master room was spacious, while the other two rooms a bit tighter but sufficient. The third bedroom has bunkbeds, yet it worked for our crew. My friends were impressed and we certainly hope to return to catch the elusive 10 pound bass! Thanks Parkers also for the hospitality basket on arrival :)

Better than advertised!

The house was beautiful, clean and fully stocked! The landscaping was so well taken care of and there were so many relaxing area to just enjoy the lake views! My family and I enjoyed fishing the most though! The Jon boat, canoe and kayaks provided were exactly what we needed to fish and explore the beautiful lake! We caught so many bass!! The hosts were so accommodating and kind and made sure we had the best experience! 10 out of 10 recommend for anyone looking for a lake getaway or a fun fishing trip! We will be back!!!!
