Of course, you needn’t cook at all; the nearby Royal and Silverdale Hotel both serve up a range of meals and make up two of the three pubs in the village. Explore the multitude of woodland walks that crisscross this delightful village, including the fairy grotto delights of Woodwell on route to Jenny Brown’s Point and the stone Giant’s Chair at Jack Scout. Call in at Wolf & Us on your travels and sample coffee courtesy of local coffee roasters Atkinson’s of Lancaster, and a slice of carrot cake.
