The Old School House, Connemara
Dating back to 1838, The Old School House is a beautifully restored period home set in the heart of Connemara, offering a stay that blends history, comfort, and quiet charm.
Once a place of learning for the local community, the house has been thoughtfully reimagined as a warm and welcoming retreat, now designed to accommodate up to four guests. Original character sits comfortably alongside modern touches, creating a space that feels both grounded and easy to settle into.
Inside, you’ll find a calm, light-filled interior with plenty of room to relax — whether that’s slow mornings with coffee at the table or evenings spent beside the fire after a day exploring.
Just a short, easy walk brings you into Clifden town, while the surrounding landscape offers endless opportunities for coastal walks, beaches, and scenic drives.
In the garden, with views of the Twelve Bens, you can sit back, listen to the birds, and simply watch the world slow down.
Perfect for couples, friends, or small families seeking a relaxed and comfortable base in Connemara.
We look forward to welcoming you to The Old School House.
