The Lodge, a historic cabin on River Mountain Farm, is a private 2-bedroom, 1-bathroom house that sleeps up to 4 and is pet friendly. Renovated in 2022, we restored this 1880s cabin and added modern amenities to make your stay comfortable. It is perfect for a family getaway and has two private bedrooms along with a fully-equipped kitchen, a separate dining room, and a living room with working fireplace. The bathroom features a claw foot tub with shower fixtures. The Lodge is heated by electric space heaters positioned throughout, and by the large central fireplace. There is a built-in A/C unit in living room that will cool the building in the summer.    ***New in 2025: Electric vehicle charging is available!  We have added both standard 120V and NEMA 14-50 240V outlets so you can charge your EV during your stay. Charging is complimentary for guests staying in The Lodge when pre-arranged.   On site, you'll have access to 137 acres of hiking and nearly a mile and a quarter of river frontage for fishing or kayaking. You can borrow one of our four kayaks, two paddle boards, or two river tubes or bring your own and launch from our new floating dock. We provide most of the gear you will need including adult life jackets, paddles, and waterproof bags. The owners, Adrienne and Drew, live on the property and are available to assist with anything you might need before or during your stay. For larger or smaller groups, you can reserve one of the other homes on the farm. Each building is a comfortable distance from the others, so while you may see other guests on the property, you will still be able to enjoy the peace and tranquility of the farm.   The Lodge always includes free coffee and free firewood (sustainably harvested from the property) for the fire pit, and free propane for the grill. We also supply all linens and bath towels, as well as hand soap in the kitchen and bathroom. A new 60-panel solar array attached to the original barn generates 24,000+ kWh and covers all of our energy consumption.
