This Scandinavian cabin provides a serene retreat nestled in the trees. Enjoy relaxing in our barrel steam sauna, cozy up to a fire, explore forest hikes just minutes down the road, and reconnect to each other and the outdoors.
Perfectly located nearby all that the Shenandoah Valley has to offer, including Shenandoah National Park, George Washington National Forest, wineries, water adventures, and charming local towns. Welcome to Big Meadows @ Roaring Run Cabins.
Reconnect with nature and each other at our custom-built, Scandinavian-inspired cabin in the woods. We designed this property with the outdoors in mind, with a full wall of windows for a truly immersive stay.

A few of our favorite things about the property:

Rest and recharge in the property’s private barrel steam sauna
Step out on the expansive front deck and enjoy a local beverage from a nearby vineyard, bottle shop, or brewery overlooking the trees
Grab a blanket and build a fire under the stars, or cozy up to the indoor electric fireplace
Tuck away for the night in the luxurious bedroom suite, with luxe bedding and extra blankets for a great night’s sleep
Prepare meals in the fully stocked kitchen with new appliances, quality cookware, and the necessities you may need
Brew a delicious cup of coffee with our locally roasted artisanal coffee beans
Complimentary Level 2 EV charger for our guests
Take a meeting at the spacious desk with direct views of the surrounding woods
Enjoy the fresh mountain air while grilling a delicious meal
Cozy up to your favorite show or movie on the 4K TV with an Amazon Fire TV stick
Walk just 12 minutes down the road (or a two-minute drive) into George Washington National Forest to see Catherine’s Furnace or the forest’s many trails
Visit Shenandoah National Park or hike the Appalachian Trail, with two park entrances equidistant from the property (Swift Run and Thornton Gap)
Explore the nearby town of Luray, offering boutique shops, a local brewery, excellent coffee, a riverfront park, Luray Caverns, and more.
Guests have full access to the entire home including the expansive front patio, surrounding acreage, and private barrel steam sauna. Roaring Run Cabins are two private cabins nestled on a couple quiet acres.

The driveway and barrel sauna is shared, but all other areas of the two properties are completely private, including parking areas, fire pits, patios, and outdoor space.
