What is the "jungle vibe" at the villa like?
Milla La María is designed for a deep connection with nature. Our peaceful garden is filled with lush plants and local wildlife; it is very common to see monkeys and iguanas from your terrace. We prioritize privacy so you can enjoy slow mornings, quiet hammock time, and the serene sounds of the jungle.
What wellness amenities do you provide?
We offer a "wellness-first" experience. You will find yoga mats in the villa for your morning practice. We can also coordinate professional massage services or a private chef to prepare healthy, local meals at the villa.
Are there good spots for sunsets and beach walks?
Absolutely. We are just steps from the sand, making it easy to enjoy daily beach walks and world-class sunsets. We recommend the beachfront at Rocamar for the best sunset atmosphere.
The Villa Experience & Comforts
What are the sleeping arrangements?
The villa features two bedrooms designed for rest:
 Master Bedroom: One comfortable King-size bed and one single bed.
Secondary Bedroom: One comfortable King-size bed and a bunk bed with two singles.
All beds are fitted with high-quality linens, and we provide plush beach towels for your trips to the ocean.
 What is the bathroom like?
Our bathrooms offer a unique indoor-outdoor feel with tropical plants and rain showers. We provide natural organic bathroom products (soap, shampoo, and conditioner) to keep your experience eco-friendly. There is also an outdoor shower to rinse off after the beach or pool.
What tech and entertainment are included?
 Ultra-Reliable High-Speed Wi-Fi: Designed for digital nomads, we offer 500 Mbps fiber optic internet and a dedicated work station. To ensure you never miss a meeting, we feature a Dual-ISP setup with a TP-Link Omada failover system. This means if one internet provider goes down, the system automatically switches to the backup provider in seconds, ensuring near-constant uptime and peace of mind.
TV: Smart TV equipped with Netflix.
Fun: A selection of table games for family nights.
Climate: High-efficiency air conditioning and ceiling fans in all rooms.
 Can we cook at the villa?
Yes. You have a fully equipped kitchen and an outdoor barbecue (BBQ). For a special experience, we provide a floating tray for the saltwater pool (perfect for a pool breakfast) and a picnic basket for your beach excursions.
Location & Neighborhood
How close are the surf spots and tide pools?
We are in a prime "North Santa Teresa" location. You are a 3 short walk (100m) from the best surf spots in the area. If you walk along the shore, you’ll find the famous natural tide pools, which are crystal clear and perfect for swimming at low tide.
Are there shops or restaurants nearby?
Convenience is key! There is a market across the street for all your groceries. You are also within walking distance of the best local restaurants in town.

Logistics & Arrival
How do we get there and check in?
 Domestic Flight: The fastest way is to take a 25-minute flight from San Jose (SJO) to Cobano via Sansa or Green Airways. We can help coordinate a taxi from the airport.
Driving: Book your ferry from Puntarenas via QuickPayCR.
Check-in: 3:00 PM. &nbsp;Google Maps Location.
Check-out: 11:00 AM.
 Can we check in early?
If the calendar permits, we love to accommodate early arrivals. If the villa is being prepared, we recommend grabbing breakfast at a nearby beachfront cafe while you wait.
What about a rental car?
We can put you in contact with the local branch manager at Budget Rent A Car. Mention you are staying at Milla La María, and she can coordinate delivery to the Cobano airport or the villa.




Milla La Maria

Milla La Maria is just perfect in many ways! Charming, safe, clean, great location, the sweetest hosts and the ideal stay for a family of 5. We spent the most amazing two weeks in this little piece of heaven surrounded by nature, while relaxing and surfing our days away :) our 7-year old daughter had a blast in the private pool which is perfectly maintained.
Roberto and Glori are also there to assist & advice you in every possible way. 
You’re in for a treat and you’ll probably want to stay forever at Milla La Maria! 

Home away from home

Roberto welcomed us and was very helpful answering questions. The house is simple with everything you need. Maria (the housekeeper) is very friendly and keeps everything very clean. Lots of birds and monkeys to see from the property. The pool is kept very clean. We had 3 generations in the house and it was great for everyone. There is a bedroom on the bottom floor (which is helpful for elders). There was a lot of swell in the water behind the house when we were there so most days it was above our ability for surfing but we were driving distance to lots of other options. Roberto gave us surf guide recommendations. Also, helped us to find a chef. We used Adrian and Andy and they were both very professional. Also, lots of restaurants walking distance. Thanks Roberto for welcoming us. We will be back!

The best gift!!

Roberto is very welcoming and knows the area . Very nice clean house with 2 nice bedrooms / en-suite baths . All amenities . In second row from the beach with a private walkway to the beach . Great stay and will be back

We were fortunate enough to spend time in this beautiful house with our 3 children during our time in Santa Teresa. Roberto and Glori are the perfect hosts and we loved the little touches like fresh coconuts on arrival etc. The additional bed for our youngest child was perfect and very comfortable, as were all the other beds-we all slept soundly! We are a surfing family and this location is perfect as a short walk through the beautiful property takes you to the most gorgeous beach with great surfwaves. The sunsets from in front of the property are stunning. The location in general is great as it's in a slightly quieter part of Santa Teresa but has a supermarket and several good restaurants within an easy walk. We loved our stay and would happily stay here again if we get the chance.
