Blending original character with modern style, Daylily Cottage is a welcoming and centrally located retreat. Part of The Always Sunday Boltholes collection, it has been thoughtfully designed to offer everything you need for a boutique Bath escape. Inside, a snug lounge invites you to unwind, while two beautifully presented double bedrooms, a luxurious shower room, and a charming basement kitchen with dining space complete the cottage. Just a short walk from the Roman Baths and Bath Abbey, you’ll be perfectly placed to explore the city yet always close to home. Ideal for couples, friends, families, or extended stays.
One dog per booking is welcome to stay, subject to a pet fee (£30), please let us know at the time of booking.
ID verification & damage deposit - As the stay is fully contactless, we are partnered with Truvi - they will contact you after booking to verify your ID and collect a non-refundable £10 damage protection fee, which authorises us to claim up to £500 in the event of any damages. Please complete this promptly to ensure a smooth check-in.
Please note - As with many Georgian properties, the stairs are steep and narrow, making the cottage unsuitable for those with mobility issues. Due to the layout, doorways vary in size, so large pushchairs may have difficulty accessing the ground floor. However, there is a separate side entrance with a gate and steps. The property also shares a courtyard with neighbouring properties.

Daylily Cottage

This is a stunning property. So many original features, as well as modern equipment like radios and light switches etc designed to look like they came straight out of the past. The attention to detail is on point. Beautiful furnishings and accessories. Good quality toiletries and a hairdryer and straighteners are provided.
Fancy door code to get in, but easy to work out.
Milk and water in the fridge and some teabags and biscuits supplied.
It was very hot when we were there so we were happy to find fans in the upstairs bedrooms.
A short walk into the centre of town.
These are not complaints, more just information that may be useful to other travellers :-)
It is a surprisingly busy road outside so it can be noisy with the windows open. I expect this would be the same with most other properties in the area. You have original windows so not double glazed. It didn't really affect our enjoyment or sleep. There are radios beside the beds and I kept mine on when I slept with the window open, You can always bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper.
There is no microwave. Again this didn't bother us but some people might expect one.
The stairs! The stairs are not suitable for anyone with mobility issues or young children. Again, this is an old property and the stairs are in keeping and original. You have to go downstairs to the kitchen from the main hall and then there are two upper levels with a bedroom on each. There is not a solid bannister, but a rope for support. If you are not steady on your feet this is not for you!

Loved it and didn't want to leave!

An absolutely gorgeous cottage in the perfect location. It had everything we needed for a long weekend, and the attention to detail throughout really stood out. Beds were incredibly comfortable, and it was only a short walk into the centre of Bath. We'd recommend it without hesitation!

Amazing little cottage

Stayed at Daylily Cottage recently with my adult children.
A perfect little place to call home for a few days.
Beautifully (eclectically) decorated throughout and not lacking any home comforts.
The kitchen was the icing on the cake. A large table with lots of seating, where we spent a lot of our time there just relaxing and enjoying our stay.
A short walk into the centre of Bath.
We will definitely be returning.

A perfect little bolthole
