Experiences at Stora Stenskär
At Stora Stenskär you set your own pace – there is room for both active activity and deep relaxation. The island's unique combination of pure nature and simple facilities gives you the opportunity to create exactly the stay you need.
 Fishing in peace and quiet
Mjörn is rich in fish, and from the island's cliffs or boat you can enjoy the silence and excitement of catching your own dinner, or just enjoy the anticipation of the big fish.
Sauna house with a view of the water
Relax in the small sauna on the island and experience fragrant steam sessions that cleanse both body and mind. A perfect ritual after a dip in the fresh lake water.
Yoga retreat and inner peace
Bring your yoga mat and find your own rock, terrace or forest clearing. The island's silence and proximity to nature create ideal settings for both guided retreats and your own practice.
Swim and sail in the clear waters of the lake
The lake's fresh water invites you to take a morning dip or a long swim. You can also take a quiet trip in a rowboat and experience the island from the water.
 Windsurfing and kayaking
When the wind picks up, Mjörn is perfect for windsurfing. Or a kayak trip on calm days. Explore the small coves and islets at your own pace – and feel the freedom on the water.
 Relax and feel the silence
Often, just being is enough. Sit on the terrace with a good book, listen to the wind in the trees, or lie down on the sun-warmed rocks and let your thoughts wander. The nature at Stora Stenskär is not just a backdrop – it is an active part of your break.
