Forest air, birdsong, firelight, and time that finally slows down. You begin to breathe differently. Thoughts soften. Sleep comes easier. Stillwater is not an escape. It's a reset. A reminder of how good you're meant to feel.

Luxury Yurt w/Pond, Sauna, Fire-pit, Garden, Stars

My husband and I stayed at Stillwater for our daughter and son n law's vow renewal which was held on the property. The property is already beautiful, the pond was a pristine blue, the grass was green and trimmed. The host built a concrete patio and picture frame arch for the couple to stand in front of. He arranged electrical, sound , large tent and music. He was there on site to meet our vendors and provided help. The vow renewal was perfect and I recommend Stillwater for any event or gathering!
The Yurt was absolutely perfect. It is a beautiful retreat with live plants, kitchenette, comfy bed, beautiful tables built by the host inside the yurt and out on the deck .The sauna, golf green, double daybed swing , and fishing all provided comfort and fun! The deck overlooks the beautiful pond where you can enjoy coffee in the morning or wine at sunset, it's the perfect retreat! Communication with the host is excellent , we were thrilled with our stay! We highly recommend Stillwater for your next adventure!

A Stillwater weekend to remember!

Originally we were going to stay at Stillwater in July but our plans had to change due to family life events. We pushed our trip to September and we were in contact with the Host for the months leading up to our week long stay! We had our German Shepherd with us and she loved every minute of the visit! We had our children and grandchildren come for a cookout and visit for a day which is always amazing!
The rest of the week we listened to records that we brought with us and made lots of coffee to sit on the deck with. We loved every ambiance and detail that was put into this place. The plants and the lighting inside made it feel like sleeping in a rainforest at times. It stormed several days and the sound was so very soothing! The lake, mini golf, swing, sauna and fire pit gave us plenty to enjoy while we hung out together! We have been married 31 years and every year we choose a week to decompress and reset our work / life balance and just enjoy our time together and this was the most perfect place to do so!!!
We will be returning in the winter and whenever we can after that!
Thank you for the visions and the attention to detail and the little treats and special touches!
Amazing time and place!!!
The Gary's

Anniversary getaway for a week with our GSD ❤️

My boyfriend and I first discovered Stillwater in the fall of last year, and we’ve returned several times since because we simply can’t get enough of it. Every visit feels even more special than the last. The owner is constantly adding thoughtful upgrades and unique touches that make the experience unforgettable. Since our first stay, we’ve enjoyed additions like the fish-filled pond, a beautiful wood-fired sauna, a cozy hanging daybed, a fire pit by the water, and handcrafted furniture and artwork throughout the yurt.

What truly sets this place apart is the incredible attention to detail. You can immediately tell how much care, creativity, and hard work the owner pours into making every guest feel welcome.

One of our favorite things is being able to bring our pets and spend time exploring the secluded property together. Whether we’re relaxing by the pond, enjoying the sauna, stargazing under the night sky, or simply soaking in the quiet surroundings, we always leave feeling refreshed!

The location is perfect as well. Patoka Lake is close enough for a day of kayaking or boating, and nearby French Lick offers charming shops, wineries, and great local restaurants. It truly gives you the best of both worlds—peaceful seclusion with plenty to do nearby.

Stillwater has become our favorite getaway destination. If you’re looking for a romantic, relaxing, and unique escape, this is it. We already can’t wait for our next visit!

Stillwater was just what I was looking for on my peaceful retreat out of the city. It was very secluded and in nature, which I really loved!! The added bonus was the fire sauna, I couldn’t get enough of that thing! Easy to use and well maintained. This property was everything I had hoped for when booking! Will definitely be back. Thanks Enrique for allowing me to use your space, it was truly special and you are an awesome host!
